Office hours [all day]

After his sparring session with Ben, Anakin unlocked the door to his office and began poking around online for ideas of how advanced Juliet should be at things.

Five minutes later, he was involved in a flamewar on a parenting website.

"Remove head from ass, then parent," he chanted aloud as he typed.

The door was open.

There was one person on the island that Veronica may have been avoiding juuuust a bit since she woke up almost two weeks ago from her alternate universe adventures.

But, given that she'd be heading back to the Hyperion in a week and a half, she realized that she couldn't put off the inevitable any longer and swung by Anakin's office.

She stood in the doorway for a moment and snickered at his chant. "If you're busy I can come by later."

"I'm not doing anything that can't wait," Anakin said. "There are some morons on this planet. Come in!"

"You're just now realizing that?" Veronica joked, walking in and sitting in one of the chairs.

"I didn't know they had all procreated," Anakin griped. "If your toddler is asleep beside a public pool, bitching that they woke up because they got wet is stupid."

"Little bit, yeah," Veronica agreed. "This is why I'm never having kids."

See how cleverly she headed off any question of her possibly being pregnant there?

Well, Ben had suggested that if Zack was looking for a more intense sort of training, he ought to seek out Anakin during his office hours. And, well, Zack was looking for a more intense sort of training.

He grinned a little as he peeked his head through the doorway. He was still failing at seeing anything remotely prickly about Anakin, yes.

"Excuse me, Master Skywalker?"

"Nazis have nothing to do with this," Anakin muttered under his breath as he typed it out, then looked up. "Yes?"

"I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" Zack looked at the computer, and then offered Anakin an apologetic smile. "I can come back, if I am. Ben suggested I come talk to you about something, but I can do that anytime."

"Nothing at all important," Anakin promised, pushing his keyboard aside. "What did you want to talk about?"

Well, that was wholly reassuring! ... Not that it was terribly difficult to reassure Zack.

"After the spar that he and I had at Fight Club on Sunday, we got to talking," he said. "I mentioned that I was worried about getting rusty without more serious training. I mean, I spar Arthur on a regular basis, and Deadpool and I clash swords now and again, too. But there aren't really many places where a guy can just let loose and go all out, you know?"

It had been a while since she'd stopped in to see Master Skywalker, and Tahiri supposed it was about time for that. If nothing else, just a post-trip checkin. Seemed only fair since she'd left a message for him before she left for home.

She stood in the doorway, hands clasped behind her back. "Master Skywalker?"

"Come in, Tahiri," Anakin said, finishing up a sentence and then looking away from the computer.

Tahiri stepped into the office, her expression mildly curious. "I left you a message last week. I hope you got it?"

Anakin nodded. "Not the most informative message ever, but yes. You were called home?"

Tahiri ducked her head briefly. "Not that informative, no. I'm sorry about that. And yes. The Ebaq 9 campaign," she added, reasonably sure he at least knew something about the details from Jaina.

Raven was there at her usual time. "Good morning, Professor Skywalker," she started to say, then paused, sensing his irritation and wondering what the source of it was.

"Good morning, Raven," Anakin said, looking up from his computer.

"Is everything all right?" she asked, moving through the doorway, stepping around the bodies camped out to see Anakin like he was selling tickets to a hot concert or something.

"I've discovered a haven of idiot parents," he said with a tiny roll of his eyes. "Nothing that can't wait. How have you been?"

"I am well," Raven said, which was only a small lie. "But...I am having difficulties controlling my anger."

If Anakin was having a busy day, well... Jaina had been coming here way longer than anyone, so ha. "Obviously someone's having fun today."

"People are idiots, and judging by the capital letters I'm getting back, this is the first time someone has ever told them so," Anakin replied.

On one hand, she was a little afraid to know, but curiosity totally won out on this one. Taking a seat, she asked, "Who are you making friends with now?"

"Idiot parents who, I'm guessing, have equally stupid children. Honestly. If you at a public pool and your toddler is napping, you can't whine about him getting woken up by noisy splashing."
