Anakin was tired, and cranky, and a little bit electrocuted.

But if Luke could whine his way out of the clinic after getting a wall dropped on him, Anakin certainly wasn't going to miss out on going to Connecticut just because he was a little bit tired.

Or clearly insane.

Either one.

He knocked gently on Rory's door.

Rory opened the door almost as soon as his hand left it. "Hiwhathappened?"

Anakin wrapped his arms around her and held on tightly. "Student with delusions of grandeur managed to get the drop on Luke, Jaina, Jolee and I. It was a long day."

"Everyone's okay?" she asked softly, holding onto him.

"He dropped a wall on Luke," Anakin said, steel in his voice, "but Luke'll be fine. He's back in the dorm with instructions not to fall asleep and Artoo has a taser."

"Oh, my god," she said softly. "Who was it?"

"Victor von Doom," Anakin said, shaking his head. "I taught him. How did I miss the signs?"

"Don't blame yourself," she said immediately, firmly. "None of that."

Anakin rested his forehead against hers and sighed. "Maybe just a little?" he tried.

"Anakin. Don't be stupid. You're getting snuggles either way."

Rory knew him just a little too well.

A smile curled his lips up for a split second. "Doom spent the better part of the week electrocuting my family," he said, getting back to business. "That's not something I'm going to forgive."

Rory immediately ran her fingertips over his hair. "He electrocute you? Luke?"

Rory kind of wanted to stab this Doom kid in the head with a rusty spoon, yeah.

"And Jaina," Anakin said, nodding. "Mostly to keep us in one place so he could enact his deeply stupid plan. He zapped me pretty good last night to get me to not, you know, kill him."

Jaina, as far as Rory knew, had not had any traumatic lightning-related experiences, so Rory was slightly less concerned there. Just slightly.

"Are you okay?" she asked quietly, meeting his eyes.

And because it was Rory, he didn't hide anything from her. "I've had better weeks," he said softly, eyes looking haunted.

She nodded, tracing her hand along his cheek. "It's over now. And I'm here, okay?" she murmured, tugging him in and shutting the door.

Anakin nodded and as soon as the door was closed, leaned in to kiss her like it was the only thing keeping him together.

It kind of was.

Rory kissed him back with exactly as much fervor, her arms sliding around his neck as she pressed closer. She knew he needed the contact.

He let out a little whimper and slid his hands around her waist, pushing them both towards a wall. There wasn't a close enough right now.

Rory felt her back hit the wall, reaching a hand down to shove her pants down and work on his.

Anakin nipped sharply at her earlobe as his breathing started getting more erratic.

Need you... he murmured at her.

Rory nodded, her breath hitching as she stepped out of her pants. "Now."

Anakin shrugged out of his robe, but that was about as far as he was getting as he lifted Rory up and moved closer with a soft hiss.

Rory immediately drew her legs around him, her fingertips tangling in his curls.

"Oh, my Rory," he sighed, running his fingers up her leg and pressing his thumb against her.

Rory shivered, sliding her nails along his scalp and gasping. "Mine."
