Anakin was tired, and cranky, and a little bit electrocuted.

But if Luke could whine his way out of the clinic after getting a wall dropped on him, Anakin certainly wasn't going to miss out on going to Connecticut just because he was a little bit tired.

Or clearly insane.

Either one.

He knocked gently on Rory's door.

"Okay, so it's been a long day, but I'm not going to drop you," he said, nudging his nose against hers.

"Lying down won't hurt you," she replied evenly, kissing his lower lip.

Anakin let her down, but didn't let her go far. "This isn't because I'm old, though," he said hastily.

"Of course not," she said, kissing his chin. "But we can, you know, lose the rest of our clothes and snuggle, too."

"And start running through that list of thoughts you had on Monday and Tuesday," he murmured, linking his fingers through hers and heading towards the bedroom.

"Mmm, I'm so looking forward to my Valentine's present," she told him, trailing after him.

"That reminds me," Anakin said, waving his hand out to float a small packet towards him. "I brought you something."

"Oooh?" Rory's brows shot up. "Presents?"

"Nothing big," Anakin said hastily. "I picked them up on the ride here."

He waved his hand again. "Chocolate sauce and post-its," he mumbled, cheeks going pink.

Rory raised her eyebrows, then giggled. "But I might get papercuts."

Anakin waggled his eyebrows at her. "I'll check very carefully."

"Will you put them on me, or is that for me to do?" she wondered.

"That's for you to do," Anakin decided. "I just follow the instructions."

"And are you going to watch, or be surprised?" she asked.

"I can be surprised," Anakin offered.

"Then it'll be another night when I have time to write up post-its. You'll be stuck waiting a bit at this rate," Rory said thoughtfully.

Anakin leaned in to steal a kiss. "And you're the one currently waiting," he said, "and that hardly seems fair."

"Waiting?" she asked, flopping onto her bed.

Anakin traced his hand down her front. "We're not even," he said, nipping her lower lip.

"We're not?" Rory asked, all wide-eyed innocence.

"We're not," Anakin said firmly, removing his shirts and nudging his nose against hers. "But if you've forgotten..."

"I didn't forget anything," she murmured, nipping his lower lip.

"Because I could refresh your memory," Anakin whispered, moving his head lower. "I was somewhere around here and I seem to remember something about you not wanting to be teased."

"Teasing's mean," she mumbled, squirming slightly.

"So tonight I won't do it," he murmured, shifting all the way down and meeting her eyes before sliding his tongue against her.
