Anakin was in a fantastic mood today. Rory and Juliet had come onto the island with him, and it had been far too long since he'd had the chance to have a lunch date with his wife.

She was currently grabbing coffee at the Perk, leaving Anakin to have an animated--and one-sided--conversation with his daughter as she sat in his lap.

"And the toes are connected to the foot, which is connected to the ankle, which is connected to the knee, which is very, very ticklish---"

Well, no one said it was going to be a terribly intelligent conversation.

The door was open.

"I was stubborn," Anakin replied, as if that particular trait had changed drastically in the last few years. "Thank you for the coffee."

"Mmm-hmm!" Rory hummed agreeably. "Feel like feeding the little girl?"

"Sure," Anakin said. "She's been very patient. I had her doing some filing for me as well. A little light dusting. I think she's too short for the vacuum still."

Anakin was occasionally under the impression that he was funny.

Rory giggled, so it worked. "You could have her wash the windows, too."

"That is an excellent idea," Anakin declared, sipping from his coffee quickly as Juliet reached out to bat the bottom of the cup. "Maybe after lunch."

"Juliet wants coffee," Rory observed.

"Juliet is doomed to be disappointed for a while," Anakin said with a laugh, handing his daughter a piece of cookie to gum.

"She just wants to hold it," Rory pointed out, nodding. "Like we do!"

"You can hold the baby as she holds the hot beverage," Anakin said, laughing again.

"Nah, I'm good," Rory assured him, shaking her head. "Maybe if the cup was smaller than her...."

"I'd settle for it being smaller than the size of her head, even," he replied. "Don't tell your mother, but we might just wait until she has teeth before we start her on caffeine."

"We can start her on those frappuccinos you can buy in little bottles," Rory decided.

"Will the bottle tops fit over it?" Anakin replied thoughtfully.

"I'm sure we can make it happen," Rory assured him.

Anakin shirt was slowly becoming covered in bits of cookie as Juliet gnawed on her snack.

"It is strange being back on the island?" he asked.

"A little," Rory said thoughtfully. "I don't recognize many of the wee students."

"We'll have to make this a more regular thing," Anakin decided, smiling, "and not just because I miss you visiting me."

"And then students can meet scary Professor Skywalker's equally intimidating wife and terrifying baby?" Rory suggested.

"More like they'd wonder what such a beautiful woman and adorable child have in common with the scary Professor Skywalker," Anakin replied.

"You don't think we're scary?" Rory asked, pretending to be hurt. "Rarrrr."

"I think you are amazing," Anakin said, leaning in for a kiss.

"Bias," she said softly.

"Of course," Anakin replied just before Juliet let out a yell to make sure she was the center of attention.

"Juliet wants to talk about her fashionable new coat," Rory decided, smiling lightly as she pulled back. "Or perhaps how awesome her cookie is."

"Her coat is very cute," Anakin admitted. "I didn't know clothes came so small."
