Anakin wasn't exactly asleep--he didn't sleep much these days--but his attention wasn't on the research he was doing into the Seven Deadly Sins, either.

Rory had scurried back into her suite as soon as she was able, and frantically hit a number on her speed dial.

"Hey, you," Anakin said, grinning into the phone.

"There was a naked boy sleeping in the hall!"

"..."

"..."

"...did the washing machines go on strike?" he asked faintly.

"No, he passed out there after the big party on my floor."

"There was a naked party on your floor?"

Anakin didn't sound nearly as okay with that as he probably should have.

"No, I think he was just really, really drunk," she replied, curling up on her bed. "Do I have to hit a button on this to make it comlink-y?"

"Top right," Anakin said, flipping his comlink over to video, "and I've never been that drunk."

Rory pressed the right button, and smiled at the little grainy Anakin. "His name's Marty. He said he had a bad experience with a keg. I only woke up and found him because of the snoring."

"Did you kick him?" Anakin asked uncharitably, giving her a small smile and a wave.

Rory shook her head. "I covered my eyes, though."

"Good," Anakin said, smiling more broadly. "No one should be scarred by fat, short, hairy people's asses."

Jealous? Anakin?

Damn right.

"He wasn't short or fat or hairy. Well, maybe short. Shorter than you. I don't know, I wasn't looking much," she replied.

Anakin frowned. "...much?"

"Enough to see he was naked and running back to his room."

"And to get his name," Anakin pointed out.

He was being absolutely ridiculous and he knew it. He just couldn't seem to stop himself.

"It's rude not to introduce yourself," she replied, frowning.

"The rules of propriety can be lifted when you're not wearing pants," Anakin retorted.

"Yeah but he was really embarrassed," she shrugged. "I felt bad for him."

"Maybe he should not get drunk and be naked, then," Anakin said, but he was giving her a little smile. "Did you go to the party, too?"

"Paris made us leave the door open," she said, rolling her eyes. "I tried to stay in my room and read."

"Paris was the more social one?" Anakin looked worried. "You sure you're all right?"

"I don't really want to meet drunken classmates or have them throw up on the furniture Grandma got us," Rory replied, making a face.

"I think it depends on the furniture," Anakin said, trying to get a smile.
