Ye olde shuttle parking [Monday afternoon]

Anakin had spent a good hour staring at the shuttle, a can of paint and a brush in his hand.

Finally he bit his lower lip, painted over the name Tydirium and rechristened the ship the Virgo in Basic and English.

Then he stood back and waited to see if the only person who would understand the name change would actually be arriving for their lessons today.

Rory did indeed arrive, perfectly on time as usual. "Hi."

Anakin's entire face lit up. "I wasn't sure if you'd come."

"Why wouldn't I?" Rory asked, almost challengingly.

There were a thousand responses to that, and most of them would get him into trouble again. Anakin chose instead to smile and shake his head. "No reason," he said, moving to lower the ramp to the shuttle.

And conveniently walking past the new name of the ship.

Rory stopped to look. "You changed the name."

She knew exactly what it meant. She just wasn't going to comment unless he brought it up.

Anakin gave her a shy smile. "I did," he said, locking eyes with her. "Is it okay?"

"It's your ship," she told him, shrugging.

He deflated a little. "Yeah," he said softly. "Ready to go?"

"Where are we going today?" she asked, nodding and heading for her usual seat.

"Someplace close?" Anakin suggested. "I have a sparring practice with Qui-Gon this evening."

And he only sounded a little freaked out by that. He was pretty proud of himself.

Rory raised her brows. "And how do you feel about that?"

"He doesn't know that I'm not ready to do this," Anakin said, focusing too intently on the screens in front of him, "and I'm not prepared to explain why I'm not. So we'll spar."

"That'll be interesting," Rory commented. "Okay, what's close enough to visit?"

Anakin was scanning through star charts. "How about the Horsehead Nebula?" he asked.

"Sounds good," Rory said, starting the takeoff sequence. "Any reason?"

"Because you don't have room for a pony in your alcove," he replied, smiling over at her.

"I could fit one, she said with a smile, taking off.

"Not one this big," Anakin replied, happy to see her smiling.

"Well, no," she said. "But still! Pony!"

"I'll see if I can find one more alcove sized," Anakin promised with a slightly doofy smile.

Rory grinned as they broke atmosphere. "If I ever have kids, they're getting a pony."

"I'm pretty sure they'd get whatever they wanted, yes," Anakin said, eyes shining at her. He turned his attention to the navicomputer, punching in the coordinates to get them close enough to the Horsehead Nebula. "Punch it," he said, pointing to the controls.

Rory carefully pressed it. She didn't punch, thank you. Unless it was Angel.

Anakin smiled. "Thank you for not using that as an excuse to hit me."

"I am demure and kind and like a delicate flower," she said. "Delicate flowers don't hit."
