Ye olde shuttle parking [Monday afternoon]

Anakin had spent a good hour staring at the shuttle, a can of paint and a brush in his hand.

Finally he bit his lower lip, painted over the name Tydirium and rechristened the ship the Virgo in Basic and English.

Then he stood back and waited to see if the only person who would understand the name change would actually be arriving for their lessons today.

Anakin's eyes locked on hers and he forgot about breathing.

Rory swallowed hard, threading her fingertips through the curls at the nape of his neck.

That was totally something friends did, right?

Anakin tilted his head in...

...just as one of the controls on the panel began to bleep.

He sighed and pulled back. "The shielding needs to be tweaked," he muttered.

Oh, how he hated that button right now.

"Oh," Rory said, her voice still just a bit husky. "Um, okay. What do we do?"

"I go hit it with a hydrospanner until it stops," Anakin bitched, standing up and heading to the back of the shuttle.

His Huttese vocabulary was quite extensive.

"You know, Luke swears like that, too," she commented, trying to find something -- anything -- to talk about.

"Really?" Anakin smiled. "He should watch his language."

He dropped his robe into a messy pile on the ground, then unknotted his tabard and placed it on top, leaving him in just his undertunic.

Then he popped open the control panel, still bitching under his breath, and got to work.

Rory didn't crane her neck to take in the view, really.

No, really.

"That's what I said."

A few more minutes of banging and cursing and Anakin finally reemerged with a smudge across his nose, sweat curling his hair, and a victorious look in his eyes. "Fixed."

Rory swallowed, trying very hard not to think any dirty thoughts. "Yay."

Anakin raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Time to go home?"

"I think so," Rory said, flushing.

Anakin's cheeks had gone a little pink as well.

"Okay, then."
