Anakin's desk was covered in electronics as he spun a tiny screwdriver between his fingers and consulted his schematics again.

It was easier to keep his mind off of unpleasant thoughts when his hands were busy.

The door was open.

"He's eight months," she said, holding her hands at an approximation of Bucky's size. "And he might not, as he is wee and you don't have the braid for him to play with anymore."

"I'm a much better babysitter than I was six months ago," Anakin said with a wry smile. "Not that it would've made much of a difference to your mother, apparently."

Rory rolled her eyes. "I don't know what she was thinking. But I know Luke was planning a vacation sometime soonish. I'll ask if I can keep Bucky for those days instead of Sookie or Babette."

"I'm thinking caffeine deprivation had to be involved somehow," Anakin replied with a smile. "And I'd love to see him again."

"I still worry that I'm going to drop him on his head or something," she said, frowning.
