After a quick trip to the Isle of Ikea to replace all of the broken glassware, Anakin's office was back to its normal state of cleanliness.

He turned on some soothing music from Ithor and waited to see how many students came in to see what he'd told their guardians.

The door was open.

"Only the once," Anakin replied. "He deserved it a few times."

"Somehow, I doubt that," Leia said. Little did she know. "What did he do that warranted that reaction?"

"He said something about Rory I took exception to," Anakin said.

[likes_scoundrels]

"He was a close friend of my mother," Leia said, trying to figure out what he possibly could have said about Rory. "But I hardly think he'd insult Rory for no reason."

"The specifics aren't important," Anakin replied. "Organa and I never really got passed friendly acquaintance at best."

[likes_scoundrels]

"Well, don't do it again," Leia said, realizing she wasn't going to get any more of an explanation out of him, either. "Please. It's been a little hard for him to realize he has to share me now."

"Well, if he's not rude again, I won't hit him for it," Anakin decided.

[likes_scoundrels]

"And you were utterly polite to him, of course," Leia sighed.

[sith_happened]

Anakin's lips quirked up. "He started it."

And utterly mature, too.

"Of course he did," Leia said dryly. "Bail Organa, senator and diplomat, started a fight with you for no reason."

"I didn't say it was for no reason," Anakin said. "He didn't like meeting his daughter's father much."

Go figure.

"I don't care what the reason was," Leia said. That was a lie, she was actually dying to know why. "My fathers aren't allowed to hit each other."

"I don't plan on doing it again," Anakin assured her.

[likes_scoundrels]

"Good," Leia said. "I would prefer it if you got along. For my sake if nothing else. I do love you both."

Anakin looked a little gobsmacked. "You love me?"

Shhh. Someone had been a little affection starved growing up.

[likes_scoundrels]

"Of course I do," Leia said. "I told you that on my birthday." Right before she'd gotten pulled into a void and sent to Silent Hill, but details.

[sith_happened]

"I was a little distracted by other parts of that dinner to remember," Anakin said, cheeks going slightly pink.

[likes_scoundrels]

Leia rolled her eyes, but not without affection. "You're my father," she said. "And you frustrate me sometimes, but I do love you."

[sith_happened]

He beamed at her. "I love you too," he mumbled, since emotional expression wasn't exactly his strength. "Did you have a good weekend?"

[likes_scoundrels]

"Well, I got a surprise visit and wasn't dragged back home against my will," Leia said thoughtfully. "So whatever's going on between you and Bail, he thinks I'm safe here."

[sith_happened]

"I told him trying to get you to do something you don't want to would be a waste of time," Anakin replied.

[likes_scoundrels]

"Since when has knowing that ever stopped you?" Leia pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"Oh, not once, but you get it from me," Anakin said, grinning.

[likes_scoundrels]

"Then it's your fault that my aunts constantly despair that I'll ever be a proper princess," Leia laughed.

[sith_happened]

Anakin scoffed. "Proper is just another word for boring," he declared. "Your mother got herself out of a pair of handcuffs with a hair pin."
