Office hours [all day]

After checking his office to make sure Ferus wasn't hiding in a closet or under his desk or something equally inane, Anakin flopped into his chair, consulted his notes briefly so he could remember which students he'd taught when, and waited for the first person to walk through the open into his office.

They couldn't have the coffee in his hands, by the way. Anakin needed that so he didn't tell everyone what he really thought.

It was probably a good thing then that Richard was one of those people who managed to be disgustingly alert and chipper even without chemical help.

"Anakin Skywalker?" Cara had been less than forthcoming about her classes, but he'd at least managed to get a name and description, though his hair didn't look terrible at all.

Leia hadn't told Bail about the Parents Weekend, but he'd known. He planned to surprise her, but first he was going to see Anakin for himself. After he'd recovered from Leia dropping the bombshell about her birth father being alive and well and teaching on Fandom, he'd accepted that Anakin was, insane as it seemed, protecting her there. But he was still wary that it was some sort of complex trap.

OK, and maybe he was a little jealous as well. He'd never had to share Leia's affections before.

"Master Skywalker," Bail said.

Tseng had made certain to have his own coffee this morning before setting out to make the acquaintances of Rosalind's teachers. He suspected, after the events of the evening before, that he was going to be in need of many more cups before the day was through.

Multiple timelines meant multiple Tsengs. He would have appreciated a warning about such things in advance.

"Excuse me, Professor Skywalker?"

Medusa didn't really think there was any chance Crystal would have done something so responsible as stop in to see her professors, but she had to try. "Professor Skywalker," she said, sounding rather distressed, "I'm so sorry to bother you, but I don't suppose my sister's been by?"

"Yes," Anakin confirmed, glancing up. "Who are you here about?"

"Kriffing hells," Anakin replied usefully, staring hard.

"My reaction to my daughter telling me you were here about remarkably similar," Bail said.

"Yes?" Anakin replied, looking up. "How many I help you?"

Anakin shook his head. "Not so far at least," he said. "It's been all men."

"I understand that you are one of Rosalind's teachers, this semester," he said, somewhat pleasantly. Insofar as Tseng was ever pleasant, really. "I was hoping that you might have some insights as to how she's been... adjusting, since her arrival on the island."

Men? This was terrible news. "Well, if she does stop by," which probably she wouldn't, "will you tell her I'm looking for her?"

"And here I thought you liked me," Anakin said.

He hadn't really thought that.

Anakin nodded thoughtfully. "She's one who has headfirst into the timeline issues that come with the island," he began. "Has she told you about this?"

"Of course," Anakin said. "What does she look like?"

Trouble. She looked like trouble. "She's shorter than me?" she said, nervousness turning it into a question. "And more blonde. She has a very distinctive black streak, though," she said, gesturing vaguely toward her temples.

"She's... mentioned them, to some degree, yes," Tseng agreed, nodding faintly. "I'm experiencing them first-hand myself, this weekend."

Two Tsengs was too much Tseng for any one island, entirely. He supposed, as the other Tseng had as well, that it was only fortunate that the Zack he'd been hearing about hadn't decided to invite his own along, as well.

"She's expressed some difficulty, regarding the way that different timelines converge on this island?"

"I was half expecting you to be wearing the mask," Bail said calmly. He was still trying to wrap his mind around just how Anakin was here.

Anakin's door slammed closed with enough Force to make the walls shake. "WHO TOLD YOU THAT?" he demanded.

So much for trying out denial.

"Well, it's Rosalind, so 'express' might be exaggerating a bit," Anakin replied. "She's not the biggest sharer of emotions, especially if they are ones that would make her appear vulnerable."

"I'll keep my eye out," Anakin promised. "Where should I send her if I do run across her?"

Bail had been expecting a reaction like that but he still flinched a little at the slam. "I was there with Yoda and Obi-Wan when Leia and her brother were born," he said. And when Padmé died went unspoken. "What I didn't figure out on my own they told me."

Tseng's expression shifted, momentarily, into a wry smile.

"Yes, I am aware of that," he noted. "As I am also aware that there are a handful of different timelines that this island seems to have pulled people from my world out of. In spite of Rosalind's most outward reactions, I can only imagine that the effects have been... slightly unsettling."

And yet, he couldn't afford to pull her from this school just yet, either. It was a bit of a catch-22.

Well thanks for nothing, Obi-Wan and Yoda.

"I'm not him any longer," he said, trying to rein in his temper, "and I would never do anything to hurt my daughter."

Petty? Anakin excelled at petty.

Anakin nodded. "I can read people's emotions," he said, "but I don't want to really push her in a room full of her peers. I'm personally familiar with the unsettled feeling that can come with being here. I've met two of my grandchildren, which I'm obviously not old enough to have yet."

"I'm having a difficult time accepting that since Vader's definitely still committing atrocities at the Emperor's command," Bail said. He'd checked after Leia had told him Anakin was in Fandom. "Unless you're trying to claim it's someone else under the mask now?"
