Anakin grinned over at Rory as he lifted Juliet out of her lobster pot and into the car seat. "I don't think I've enjoyed a Friday night dinner that much in a long time," he said.

He didn't know that part, so he leaned over for a quick kiss. "Thank you!"

"Welcome," she said, kissing him before sneaking a look in the back seat. "I think our lobster is tired."

"It's exhausting being a crustacean," Anakin said, nodding. "Think your grandma will ever forgive the costume?"

"Probably not," Rory said agreeably. "But so what?"

"It's going to become a thing, isn't it? Finding a costume every year to make your grandmother give us that look?"

Anakin didn't seem the least bit upset by that prospect.

"Until Juliet's old enough to do it herself," Rory said happily.

"I love that idea," Anakin said, laughing.

"I think next year she wants to be a Zombie Daughter of the American Revolution," Rory replied.

Anakin laughed harder. "Can we take her to get candy from your grandmother's society friends then?"

"They'll love it," Rory decided.

"We'll be sure to get pictures with all of them," Anakin declared, "and it will make your mom's Christmas gift so much easier."

"She's already thrilled about this," she said, gesturing to the backseat.

"We'll have to come up with someone for Bucky to be, too," Anakin mused. "Zombie founding father?"

"Zombie golfer?" Rory suggested.

"Would he have to wear that hat?" Anakin asked.

"Have to? I think you meant get to," Rory corrected.

"No, I mean have to," Anakin said, laughing. "It's a terrifying hat."

"I won't have to also be dressed as a zombie golfer, right?" Anakin checked.

"No, you can be an undead investment banker or something."

"Would I have to wear your grandfather's bow ties?" he asked.

"You know, you keep putting these ideas in my head," Rory said. "I wasn't going to suggest it but now that you mention it...."

"I could go as Zombie Richard Gilmore," Anakin said with a grin, "and you could be Disapproving Zombie Emily Gilmore."
