Office hours [all day]

Anakin, as usual, was in his office.

Today he was sitting on his floor practicing his meditation skills.

It only looked like napping. Really.

The door was open and soft Alderaanian music was coming from his ridiculously tricked out stereo.

For the first time in weeks, Jaina wasn't exactly in the good mood she had been. This didn't mean she was in a bad mood, it was just that it felt like real life was finally really intruding on that- dare I narrate it- happy mental state,

Still, she was here, pausing at the door for a moment. "I recognize this," she realized.

"Thought you might," Anakin said, opening his eyes. "Come in."

[solo_sword]

"I hear they have these newfangled contraptions called beds now for napping," she noted, stepping inside.

"I'm meditating," he said. "I didn't get a chance before I left the house."

[solo_sword]

"Can't imagine why," she said dryly. "Should I go?"

[sith_happened]

"There was a dog trying to sit on my head," he said, standing up. "It wasn't conducive to a calm state of mind. I'll do this later. Come in."

[solo_sword]

As she took a seat, she realized she really needed clarification on that. "A dog was trying to sit on your head... while meditating?"

[sith_happened]

Anakin sighed. "It's Vladdie's new thing. Normally he just curled up in my hood."

[solo_sword]

"This is one of the more disturbing mental images I've had lately," Jaina realized.

Don't mind Zack, hanging out in the doorway. Really. Don't mind him. The music was pretty, and he could tell that Anakin was trying to... Sleep? Meditate?

Maybe he'd just knock softly, and if the professor answered to that, then yay! Problem solved!

"Come in, Zack," Anakin said, not bothering to open his eyes.

Zack had a very distinctive feel in the Force.

Did it feel like cotton candy and sparkles and puppies and razorblades?

"Uh, hey, Master Skywalker," Zack wandered in, smiling sheepishly. "Sorry I missed our appointment on Saturday. I was kind of, uhm... Unexpectedly fuzzy."

That was a good way of putting it, yes. Also, he'd had the cutest floppy ears in all of history, but he wasn't going to brag.

A small smile flitted across Anakin's face. "I heard," he said. "Was it your first time as a dog?"

"My second," Zack said, shaking his head a little. "It always seems to happen when Fandom is doing weird things, too. The last time, it was when everybody was singing."

... Which had actually been kinda fun.

[sith_happened]

"Did you sing as a dog, too?" Anakin asked, interested.

[puppy_fair]

"Yep!" Actually, it had been more like off-key howling. But it had been cute. "Professors Deadpool and Mars were singing, and there was an opening for some backup vocals. I... kind of can't carry a tune in a bucket. Not when I'm a dog, anyhow."

[sith_happened]

"I can't carry a tune period," Anakin admitted. "As the gremlins make me demonstrate almost quarterly."

[trigons_child]

Raven took her place in the line of teenage girls. And Zack. She was loathe to interrupt the napping meditation of another, but she lingered in the doorway for a moment to see if Anakin would acknowledge her and also to contemplate the music.

Anakin glanced up. "Come in, Raven," he said softly.

[trigons_child]

"The music is lovely," Raven said, moving through the door. "Does it help you to nap meditate?"

[sith_happened]

He nodded. "It's from a planet called Alderaan."

[trigons_child]

"Not your home, another world," Raven said. "What is it like there?"

She had no idea why her mun cackled as she said that.

[sith_happened]

"Peaceful," Anakin hedged. "They had no weapons. They were devoted to the arts, to politics and learning."

If she didn't pick up on the past tense, all the better for him.

[trigons_child]

"It sounds much like Azarath," Raven said, just a little wistful. "Though my home does not have much use for politics."

[sith_happened]

"Why not?" Anakin asked.

He didn't have much use for politics, either. Go figure.
