Office hours [all day]

Anakin, as usual, was in his office.

Today he was sitting on his floor practicing his meditation skills.

It only looked like napping. Really.

The door was open and soft Alderaanian music was coming from his ridiculously tricked out stereo.

Anakin so hated being told he was wrong. "How am I wrong?" he retorted.

[solo_sword]

"Santa does not stalk children. Not that I didn't search the room for lstening devices anyway just in case," she began.

[sith_happened]

"That's not what the song says," Anakin replied stubbornly.

[solo_sword]

"And of course those are rigidly true. ...Tell me you didn't learn about Christmas through songs."

[sith_happened]

"And Christmas pageants," he added.

[solo_sword]

"I don't think they were helpful for you," Jaina decided.

[sith_happened]

"They were plenty helpful," Anakin said. "Santa is creepy."

[solo_sword]

"Also, I don't think he's actually related to that tiny god that you think came out of his sack," she added.

[sith_happened]

"Then what's he doing spying on people during the holiday?" Anakin demanded.

[solo_sword]

"Commercialism," Jaina replied.

[sith_happened]

"That doesn't make it less creepy. So he just decided to hijack some religious holiday?"

[solo_sword]

She opened her mouth to try and explain, but when she wasn't 100% on the whole concept herself, and he had years of confusion on this... "Yes. Exactly that."

[sith_happened]

"Juliet is not sitting on his kriffing lap," he vowed sullenly.

[solo_sword]

There was a second of confusion, and then Jaina realized she hadn't actually known her alternate universe step-aunt's name, or at least hadn't remembered it. Yes, she sucked and she felt bad about that.

"Better than spying on her in secret." Oh, Jaina. Don't make the new dad more paranoid.

[sith_happened]

"There'll be one less beloved mythological character if he tries," Anakin vowed. "I might let him know that if I see him at a mall."

Excellent, Anakin. Make the Santas cry.

[solo_sword]

"...Santa goes to the mall?"

[sith_happened]

"I think he lives there when he isn't engaged in questionable labor practices on one of the poles," Anakin replied.

[solo_sword]

"Which mall?" She knew there were a few, and therefore the logic broke down.

Because Santa living in one mall was logical. Sure.

[sith_happened]

"All of them. I think he has doubles, like the queen of Naboo," Anakin decided.

[solo_sword]

"Then how do you know when you've got the right one?"

[sith_happened]

"I figure if I threaten one, they'll pass it along," Anakin said.

To mall security, no doubt.

[solo_sword]

"Try not to get kicked out with the baby," Jaina said. "Might cause some added early life trauma."

[sith_happened]

"I'm trying to avoid all manner of trauma," Anakin said firmly, "and Santa is a threat to be eliminated."

[solo_sword]

"And if it makes kids cry?"

[sith_happened]

"I have a little more discretion than that," Anakin vowed.

All evidence to the contrary should be ignored, clearly.
