If it looked like Anakin hadn't been getting a lot of sleep lately, well...he hadn't been getting a lot of sleep lately.

Nightmares were a pain. After spending far too much time close to home, he finally headed back to the island, hoping a new location might help him shake the bad feeling he had.

Five minutes into sitting in his office and he'd already decided it wasn't really working. He began tinkering with the holoprojector for something to do with his hands.

The door was open.

Well, he was a parent and an alumni so that counted, right? And he had a cute son with him! Totally counted.

"Look Talyn, there is a very old man," John said as he appeared in the doorway.

Anakin looked up, a grin splitting his face. "Talyn, don't listen to your father," he said, standing up and walking over. "He's delusional."

"Don't tell my son lies," John said, faking consternation. "He has to know that his daddy is always right."

"That's part of the deal, too?" Anakin laughed. "Luke's going to be upset to hear that. Welcome back."

"Thanks!" John said happily. "We got in yesterday but mostly just got settled. Why are you in the office? Pregnancy making Rory go crazy?"

"You know I can't answer that in a way that won't get me in trouble," Anakin said. "It's been a week without classes. I'm pretty sure I was getting under foot, so I gave her a break. Besides, J,GOB is here and she's had a thing for pastries."

"Smart man," John said, bouncing Talyn a little. "How'd the semester go? Put the fear of God into anyone fun?"

"So," Anders said, poking his head through the doorway, "how'd the zombie fighting go? I meant to ask."

"We had to make a pact with the gremlins to get them to help us defeat them," Anakin said, wrinkling up his nose. "Fandom."

"Yeah, I saw some footage from the whole aftermath of that," Anders said, and hastily added, "Nothing of you, man, don't worry. How've you been?"

"Busy," Anakin said with a smile. "After zombies, we were hit with the annual invasion of tiny, impossible children. And then we had finals. How's LA?"

Anders laughed. "Lemme guess, the kids all fed 'em sugar again and finals week they were all worn out. Gods, I'm talking like I'm twice their age and it hasn't been that long. LA is . . . well, it's never not interesting, I'll say that. Sometimes I wonder how the hotel's still standing. How're you and Rory?"

"Great," Anakin said, his face lighting up. "She's eight months pregnant, so she's probably going to give sitting in bleachers a pass this year."

Phoebe knocked lightly on the door frame.

"I heard that there was a Zombie fighter that I knew in here," she said with a grin.

Anakin smiled back. "That would be me, then," he said. "Welcome back."

"Thanks. It's kind of nice to be back." She tilted her heda. "How've you been? How's Rory?"

"I've been good," Anakin said. "Rory is currently very, very pregnant."

Phoebe nodded. "I'm glad you guys are okay. When you e-mailed about the zombies, I worried." She shrugged. "But, you already probably know that."

She grinned. "Made any of the male students scared of you, yet?"

"Nothing we couldn't handle," Anakin said with another smile. "These are Fandom students, after all. And if they aren't afraid of me, I'm doing something wrong."

While John still had Talyn, Aeryn decided she had to stop in. "Haven't been here in a while."

Anakin grinned at her. "You haven't," he agreed. "I've made some changes."

Not really.

She looked around, realizing she wouldn't actually know if there had been changes. "I'm going to have to take your word for it," she said. "How are you?"

It was Aeryn, so he knew better than to lie. "Tired."

"School is over, you aren't supposed to be tired," she noted.

"Rory is eight months pregnant," Anakin replied. "I can't sleep."
