Office hours [all day]

Anakin was back in his office (the holiday decorations were gone, thank you very much), tinkering with an overly complicated baby monitor.

For a baby who wouldn't be born for months. Anakin was getting neurotic early.

The door was open.

"Beats me," John shrugged. "But I don't know anyone who likes to be made to talk."

"I can't help if I don't know what's going on," Anakin said. "The Jacen thing...helps explain her mood a bit."

"I guess now I figure out how to tell her I told you about that," John frowned.

Anakin shrugged. "If it comes up," he said.

"It gonna come up here?" John wondered.

"Depends on what Ben's Jacen does next, I imagine," Anakin said.

John nodded, understanding. "Guess we'll just have to see what happens."

"I've discovered if you plan for things, it tends to go to hell anyway," he said.
