Skywalker Apartment [Saturday evening, NFB]

Anakin had been delayed just a little longer--stupid Umbridge and her stupid, stupid wand--and so he had to find a place to meditate and heal just a little more.

He still looked like he'd, well, been on the receiving end of a wizarding duel and a lightsaber fight.

"Rory?" he called, opening the door, "I have ice cream!"

He was so smooth.

"I know," she sighed, rubbing her temple and going over to him. "But I'm your wife. And we have a...baby, now. You've got to keep me in the loop. Don't try to protect me like this. It just makes me mad."

"It's because of the baby that I did it," Anakin said, still talking to the floor. "Stress isn't good for you, and finding out I was in the clinic would've been bad."

"Well, the baby wants some too," she said. "So naturally we have to make sure he or she gets enough. But I can be persuaded to share with the both of you, I suppose."

Anakin's hand moved down to rest on her stomach. "That seems only fair," he said, kissing the top of her head and shifting slightly to get more comfortable.
