Skywalker Apartment [Saturday evening, NFB]

Anakin had been delayed just a little longer--stupid Umbridge and her stupid, stupid wand--and so he had to find a place to meditate and heal just a little more.

He still looked like he'd, well, been on the receiving end of a wizarding duel and a lightsaber fight.

"Rory?" he called, opening the door, "I have ice cream!"

He was so smooth.

She curled up next to him. "Feel up to Jedi-ing out some spoons?" she asked, brushing his hair back.

"You'll share?" Anakin smiled at her and played with her hair. "I wasn't sure."

"Well, the baby wants some too," she said. "So naturally we have to make sure he or she gets enough. But I can be persuaded to share with the both of you, I suppose."

Anakin's hand moved down to rest on her stomach. "That seems only fair," he said, kissing the top of her head and shifting slightly to get more comfortable.

Stupid stitches.

"I'm very fair," she agreed, stretching a little against him.

Anakin let out a happy little noise. "This is nice," he said, waving two spoons into his hand. "Much better than getting poked at."

"No poking," she said worriedly, resting her head on his shoulder.

"No more poking," Anakin promised, kissing the top of her head. "I like it here much better anyway."
