Anakin was in his office catching up on radio broadcasts for the last few days--one of the only disadvantages of living off-island.

The mood he was in would depend on which broadcast you caught him listening to.

And who you were.

The door was open.

"Hello, Jo," Anakin said, turning off the radio broadcasts.

"Hey, Professor," Jo said. "Good to be back?"

She'd decided to go for something a little more subtle than rock-salt.

He cocked up an eyebrow. "Its had its moments."

[wannabehunter]

"I can imagine," Jo said. "With the new students and all."

[sith_happened]

Anakin sighed. "So you've met Ben," he guessed.

[wannabehunter]

"Yeah," Jo said. "I kinda did. Thanks for the warning there."

[sith_happened]

Anakin rolled his eyes. "It's not like he sent me a comm in advance, Miss Harvelle."

[wannabehunter]

Oh, yeah, there was itching powder going in those robes just as soon as she figured out how. "You did drive the bus to pick up the newbies."

"And then I had to return with them," Anakin said sharply, "and I don't exactly have your phone number programmed into my comm."

Not that he would've called even if he had.

"Your voice carries, you could have dropped a couple of hints when you pulled up."

[sith_happened]

"'Oh look, another Skywalker?'" Anakin snorted. "No."

[wannabehunter]

"How about 'Wear shirts in front of Luke's kid'? Nice and simple that."

[sith_happened]

Anakin fought the urge to smack his head on his desk. "Wear a shirt, period, maybe?"

"Shirtless Day is a valuable welcoming tool for new students," Jo replied. "Just not where your ex-boyfriend's kid comes in."

"No kidding," Anakin replied dryly.

[wannabehunter]

"Cute kid though," Jo said. "Obviously gets his brains from his mom."

[sith_happened]

Anakin pursed his lips. "Hopefully not her attitude."

[wannabehunter]

"Don't know," Jo replied, shrugging her shoulders. "I'm not sure who she is."

Anakin reached over towards his holoscreen and flipped through pictures of Rory and Luke before getting to the shots of baby Ben that Jaina had brought back.

"If it's the same story as Jaina's universe, his mother's Mara Jade," Anakin said, trying --and failing-- to sound Very Okay with that.

"Awww, he's so cute," Jo said, moving to look at the holos. "Oh, the redhead?"

"Yes," Anakin said shortly. "I don't like her."

Because that hadn't been wildly obvious.

"She seemed okay that time at Parent's Weekend," Jo said, since Anakin kind of had a reputation for not liking people.

Anakin made a face. "You talked with her?"

[wannabehunter]

"It's not like I knew she was married to a future version of Luke then."

[sith_happened]

"I can see how that might not have come up," Anakin admitted.
