Not that he'd tell you that.

Nope.

Evey had struggled with the decision of whether or not to come by, after she'd woken up herself again. The way she'd been treated over the weekend suggested an intimacy she didn't really understand, but she suspected it was a very private thing for Anakin.

That said, if she was marching around with another woman's face, she deserved to know the impact it was having on others. As such, she knocked lightly on the door, staying quiet.

Anakin's heart leaped back into his throat.

"Come in, Miss Hammond," he said quietly.

Evey folded her arms around herself, trying not to show her discomfort. "How are you?" she asked, shutting the door for good measure.

"I've had better weekends," he commented dryly. "You?"

"Confused," she said simply.

He waved her towards a chair. "What would you like cleared up?"

"The woman I was over the weekend -- is that who Luke meant when he told me I look like someone you both know?" she asked, starting with the simplest question as she sat.

Pretty early in the morning, Jaina headed down to the office, opening the door a bit more with her knock. "You're not allowed to kill anyone," she greeted him.

"Because you're taking care of it for me?" he countered.

"Because there's no reason to," she said, pushing the door open enough to step inside.

"I heard the radio," he countered harshly. "Not last night's, where everyone else seems more than fine with whatever nasty social diseases they might have picked up over the weekend. The one where he woke up with--"

Anakin sputtered off into incoherence.

"Me," she said, and that was plenty uncomfortable to admit to him. "People turned into other people this weekend. I turned into Brooke."

Anakin's expression didn't change. "And I still can't kill him because..."

In late afternoon, Romeo came by the office. "Master Skywalker? I do remember you."

Anakin gave him a small smile. "Welcome back."

"I never thought I would feel so happy again simply to be myself," Romeo said. "The person who talked to you was not worth even the time you took."

Anakin arched up an eyebrow. "Strong words," he commented.

"He stole from me and ran from a fight," Romeo explained. "And felt pride, not shame, in both. I can think of little else to say of him."

Anakin made a face. "I'm sorry. There's no honor in either thing."

Isabel tapped lightly on the door.

"Come in, Isabel," he replied.

"Hi," she said, slipping through the door. "I don't want to take up too much of your time. I just wanted to say sorry about Saturday. I wasn't really myself."

"You were twice as wide, for one," Anakin teased.

Isabel facepalmed. "Please. I waddled! And I was cranky and hormonal. That was hell."

Anakin smiled. "I remember. Padmé wasn't particularly thrilled with how long it took to get dressed in the morning."
