In late afternoon, Romeo came by the office. "Master Skywalker? I do remember you."

Anakin gave him a small smile. "Welcome back."

"I never thought I would feel so happy again simply to be myself," Romeo said. "The person who talked to you was not worth even the time you took."

Anakin arched up an eyebrow. "Strong words," he commented.

"He stole from me and ran from a fight," Romeo explained. "And felt pride, not shame, in both. I can think of little else to say of him."

Anakin made a face. "I'm sorry. There's no honor in either thing."

Romeo shook his head vehemently. "And none in how I spoke to you, which is why I came to let you know it was not me."

"At least, Rikku has told me, these things do not happen often even here."

"Thank the Force for that," Anakin replied. "I had to bail my son out of jail yesterday."

Romeo grimaced. "Having been rather on the other side of that, I know it must not have been fun for either of you."

"I made certain it wasn't," Anakin said grimly.

Romeo felt a wave of sympathy for Master Skywalker's son, but something about the teacher's grim tone kept him from asking questions. "As is proper, sir," he said instead.

Anakin smiled. "He's still in one piece," he said. "I'm not that heartless."
