The National Zoo [Thursday afternoon]

Juliet, after learning that the "big kids" had gone on vacation to Africa had insisted that they go to the zoo today, and so after finding a parking space down by the petting zoo and strapping Christopher into a baby stroller so complicated that Anakin was privately convinced it could fly (and if it couldn't, hey, weekend project), he took the kids in...only to learn that Juliet didn't like cows right now.

She wanted to see the pandas up at the top of the hill.

Grumbling under his breath (who put a zoo on a hill anyway?), he pushed Christopher up to the top as Juliet picked up a variety of rocks and leaves and squealed at seeing robins and squirrels.

She spent all of six seconds looking at the pandas before declaring she wanted to see the zebras now. Then the cheetahs. Then the yellow frogs.

And then Christopher started wailing.

Anakin hated the zoo a lot.
