Aeryn simply points to the area around Svalbard that used to hold more of his.

Vader shrugged. "You have to lose people to get what you want if it's important."

Not that Svalbard was important.

Really.

...even his internal dialogue wasn't buying that.

"And if you don't get it?" she asks.

"Then you've just lost people," Vader said. "That's a different lesson."

Aeryn doesn't answer, figuring there's not a lot that needs to be said there.

Looking at the board, they're split pretty evenly on the rest of the world, but Vader's still got China and Aeryn's got Svalbard. And Aeryn might be a little grumbly about that because, well, China.

Vader was not about suggest calling it a draw--he didn't do concessions.

Oh no. He'd continue to throw troops at Svalbard until he ran out of troops.

But not at the expense of China.

It was very complicated being Darth Vader.

Still looking at the board and knowing neither of them is about to give up on their respective claims, she says, "I propose a temporary cease fire, possibly pending negotiations."

Vader steepled his fingers together. "I can agree to that."

"Good," Aeryn nods. "It's been an honor to do battle with you. Even if you have China."

Vader inclined his head. "And you have Svalbard. Good day, Aeryn."
