Which meant Vader would be spending days stuffed into his TIE fighter and flying out to Endor.

Again.

So he was in a pissy mood.

"It was going to happen after graduation," she says. "I'm not sure i ever told you that."

Vader thought about it, then shook his head. "I don't believe I recall that," he said. "But I don't spend much time thinking back."

That was a lie.

"Of course not," she says. "I do, sometimes. I saw the poster for game night and wondered if all things considering, if China is available again."

"It's not," Vader said entirely too quickly.

Aeryn totally smiles. "What about Mongolia?"

"I'll kick your ass anytime you want a rematch, Sun," Vader teased.

Vader. teased.

There was something wrong with that.

Something wrong with it, sure, but Aeryn's totally enjoying it. "You think I won't bring the game next week?" she counters.

"And Bridge--" the word was spat out with enough heat to carve stone, "won't be here to ruin it," Vader said.

He rubbed his fingers together. "There will be no one to stop me this time."

"Except for me, of course," she says. "I know you couldn't have forgotten that already."

Vader inclined his head. "I may grant you China," he said. "But only if I have the rest of the planet."

Vader could've been smiling under the helmet.

Probably not, though.

"I've had another 20 years to practice strategy," he pointed out.

"Doesn't mean you can win at a board game," she smiles.

"I might cheat," Vader said.

He wouldn't.

"And then you would get soldiers thrown at you."

She would.

Vader knew it, too.

"I could duck."

"You're going to duck in that suit?" she asks.

[sith_happened]

"I'm very spry."

[can_be_more]

"Of course, they would probably bounce right off you anyway..."

"I wouldn't recommend trying that theory," Vader replied.

"Then no cheating," she says simply.

[sith_happened]

"Treachery is the way of the Sith," Vader recited. He paused. "Perhaps I could make an exception."

"Good," Aeryn says. "After all, it's just a game."

Says the girl who'd still fistfight for China a year later.

Vader snorted. "We both know that's not entirely accurate."

"It should be just a game," she amends. "We just make it interesting."
