The Beach [late afternoon]

The sun was beginning to go down and Anakin was finished with his office hours. It was time for a friendly spar with his alternate-universe son.

You know, as so many families do.

Ben had found a rock to sit on and observe, looking faintly embarrassed by the entire proceeding.

The Second Annual Skywalker Family Lightsaber Duel and Sulking Contest was about to begin.

Leia looked over at the Harmless Bystander, who she had never before seen in her life, really. "They are," she agreed. "Do you know my father?"

"Princess," he greeted. Oh, how to answer that? Truth was, he knew both her fathers, not just the one she was referring to.

"We crossed paths a long time ago," he answered, the three-quarters-truth slipping from his tongue easily.

"And you know who I am," Leia said, tilting her head curiously. No one in Fandom addressed her as Princess.

"I live just outside of Aldera, these days," Ferus admitted. "It would be difficult not to."

Leia frowned, tensing with suspicion. He was from Aldera, yet knew who her real father was? "Who are you?" she demanded. "How do you know Master Skywalker is my father?"

"So suspicious," he laughed. "In truth, I'm a friend of your father's- the other one. I accompanied him here because it's a long trip to make on one's own. I was hardly expecting to run in to Anakin, especially looking as if he'd barely aged at all from the last time we'd met. Your relationship was an equally recent discovery," he smiled. "He's very protective of you."

Leia relaxed a little. She'd ask Bail to verify this, of course. "He is," she agreed. "And since you know him you must understand why."

"Certainly," Ferus nodded. "The young man I remember was very... passionate, about a lot of things. It makes sense that that would extend to his children, 'timeline weirdness' or not," he commented, making use of a phrase he'd overheard someone else use on Friday.
