The sun was beginning to go down and Anakin was finished with his office hours. It was time for a friendly spar with his alternate-universe son.

Ben had found a rock to sit on and observe, looking faintly embarrassed by the entire proceeding.

The Second Annual Skywalker Family Lightsaber Duel and Sulking Contest was about to begin.

"I don't, no," Leia said. "I don't know anything about using a lightsaber or the Force yet. Apparently in the future I do though." Which was kind of exciting but also kind of weird.

"I don't think I have time for it yet," Leia said, glancing up at the sky in the direction of her home galaxy. "I have to focus on being a senator." And leading the Rebellion. "I don't start training for years I think."

"Well," Tahiri said slowly (or slowly for her, anyway), "they're both amazingly good, but I've seen Luke fight more."

Like, say, that time with Lord Nyax.

"Just based on observation, I'd wager on your brother."

"But now my father has something to prove, which could make him the stronger one this time," Leia grinned. "I think the odds might be about even."

"I don't know," Tahiri mused. "Luke's fought plenty of beings who thought they had something to prove against him. He's got lots of experience there."
