Office hours [all day]

Normal people would use a week off of classes as a reason not to hold office hours but Anakin had never been accused of being a normal person.

He was in his office as usual, working on ideas for his new class.

The door was open.

"Classy," commented the man who'd punched him twice.

"I didn't catch you offering me a handkerchief or a bandage," Max shot back in one of those so-reasonable-it's-an-intentional-insult tones.

"That's because you were a moron who deserved to be hit," Anakin, trained diplomat, replied.

"Twice, apparently." Note how Max wasn't disagreeing.

"You deserved more, but if I were to give that to you, I'd have no time to do anything but keep hitting you in the face and I have better things to do."

Max snorted in derision. "I would think that if you had better things to do than hit people, you might, you know... do them."

"I make special appointments just for you," Anakin said, rolling his eyes. "Get out of my office."

"Fine." Max turned toward the door and was halfway out before he turned abruptly.

"Let me know if there's something I can do to help." All joking and hostility aside for at least a second. Raven was what mattered here, after all.
