Office hours [all day]

After his weekly spar with Ben--and the boy had practiced like it'd been months since he'd picked up a lightsaber--Anakin made his way back to his office, refilled the water in the vases of roses he'd received for Valentine's Day (not that he was touched to get flowers. Really. Shh.), and then started checking his parenting message boards.

The stupidity out there was really astounding...

The door was open.

"You received many flowers," Raven said as she arrived, because sometimes empaths just had to point out the obvious. Just ask Deanna Troi.

He flashed her a smile, looking a little abashed. "Some are from my wife and daughter."

"Of course," Raven said. "The red rose must be from your wife."

She had no idea that it wasn't, really! Her player, on the other hand....

Anakin's cheeks went red. "No. She send the yellow ones with the red tips."

"Oh!" Raven said. She was curious as to who did then, but she wasn't going to ask. "I received several flowers as well. It made my first Valentine's Day very pleasing."

"Any from Andy?" Anakin asked with elaborate casualness.

Now it was Raven's turn to turn red. "Yes," she murmured. "He sent me red roses."

Anakin saved his insane overprotectiveness for his family, but his eyebrow cocked up anyway. "Did he now."

[trigons_child]

Raven nodded, beaming. "Twelve of them."

[sith_happened]

"Does that mean you are dating now?" he asked.

[trigons_child]

"I think so," Raven said. "I do not know if there is something we must do to make it official? But we have been spending a great deal of time together, including at the dance."

"Well, I believe there is generally a contract," Anakin teased.

[trigons_child]

Raven knew there were marriage vows, so dating vows made sense. "Who creates this contract?" she asked, taking him seriously.

[sith_happened]

"I'm joking, young one," Anakin said, smiling.

[trigons_child]

Her cheeks pinked up again. "I am inexperienced with what is custom," Raven said.

[sith_happened]

"I apologize for teasing you," Anakin replied. "There's not a contract, or anything formal other than a conversation with the other person."

[trigons_child]

"You do not need to apologize," Raven said, smiling. "I have come to understand teasing somewhat, though I am not always certain when I am being teased."

[sith_happened]

"And I don't do it to you often," Anakin said, "so I can see how you'd be caught off-guard."
