After his weekly sparring session with Ben, Anakin was in his office with his class syllabus, rewriting lessons that used examples Leia shouldn't know about quite yet.

...this was going to take a while.

The door was open.

"I have told him how you have helped me so much," Raven said. Because she would never pass up an opportunity to fangirl. "He has gifts of his own he is learning to use."

"Really?" Anakin replied. "Another empath?"

[trigons_child]

"He is able to influence others, but his gifts are not the same as mine," Raven said. "But I should leave that to him to tell you." Even though she felt a little guilty not spilling everything to Anakin.

Anakin's lips tightened slightly, but he gave no other sign about his thoughts on the new person's ability. "Tell him my door is always open."

"I do not know if you have taught him at all," Raven said. "His name is Andy. He does radio with Sam now. He is very sweet." That last sentence was probably unnecessary.

"I didn't need to know about how sweet he is," Anakin said vehemently.

[trigons_child]

"I am sorry," Raven said, a little confused. "We have been spending time together, and as I said I have told him of how much you have helped me. When he expressed interest in speaking to you himself, I told him I would ask you if it was all right."

[sith_happened]

"That's fine," Anakin said, relenting a little. "I've just learned more than I needed to about many people's personal lives lately."

Raven nodded. "I certainly do not intend to add to any aggravation you might have," she said. That's what my other character is for.

"You're one of the least frustrating parts of my week," Anakin said, which was a compliment if you squinted.

[trigons_child]

And Raven totally took it as such. "Thank you," she said. "I do not wish to ever be a bother. If there is anything I can do to help...."

[sith_happened]

"Other than explain to my daughter why going out with Chuck Bass was thirty seven different kinds of a terrible idea?" Anakin replied dryly. "Thank you, but I think I'm fine."

[trigons_child]

"That is a very bad idea," Raven agreed. "But she is only an infant -- did the island somehow age her?"

[sith_happened]

"Oh, no, my elder daughter," Anakin replied. "Well, a version of her at least. My Leia is at home with my son Luke, presumably having better taste in men."

[trigons_child]

As if Anakin approved of Han.

"I understand your frustration," Raven said. "I would be troubled by that as well.

[sith_happened]

A former drug smuggler? Oh, yeah. Huge fan.

"Good," Anakin said, feeling justified. "Everyone else seems to be thinking I'm some giant overreacting drama queen."

Well...

"I do not think so," Raven said, shaking her head. "You are rightfully concerned about your child."

Stop enabling, Raven.

Anakin winked at her. "Thank you."
