That rhythmic sound you hear coming from Anakin's office? His head banging against his desk. It was in time with Feliz Navidad.

And he doesn't even know about the cookies yet...

The door was open!

Truth be told, Jaina had really been looking forward to stopping in here today. Annoying song aside.

"Hey, guess what," she greeted him, wondering if it'd stop the headdesking or if it was too late for that.

Anakin sat up quickly, pretending like he hadn't been beating his head on anything.

"What?" he replied.

"War's over," Jaina said cheerfully, taking a seat.

It still didn't feel real, but it was getting sort of awesome to say.

Anakin blinked, then grinned. "Really? Everyone okay?"

"Well, the numbers they're giving for casualties is enormous," she said, because she didn't want to pretend five million dead wasn't worth a mention, "but we're good. It got a little dicey for some of us, but there's been enough recovery time and everyone's back to work."

Hayley, on the other hand, was semi-dancing her way into the office.

"Ain't this song great?" she declared. "I wonder if Elvis did a version..."

"Did Elvis know Spanish?" Anakin asked.

"I think he did," Hayley said. "Or at least sang in it."

"I didn't know that," Anakin said.

Not that he was exactly a huge Elvis fan.

"Hey, he was the King for a reason," Hayley said. "So, how are ya today, Master Sky?"

She was trying a new nickname.

"I think the island is trying to drive us insane," Raven said as she arrived at her usual time. "This music is maddening. Or is that merely part of Christmas?"

"Only if you live in a shopping mall," Anakin said, making a face.

"Is it possible to somehow bribe the island to make it stop?" Raven said hopefully.

"It's probably worth a try," Anakin mused. "What do you think might placate it?"

"Chocolate?" Raven suggested. "That seems to be what people often suggest to me when my mood is not good."

It was a still slightly subdued Karla that knocked on "Santakin's" door. Listening to the radio last night (and wincing at Andy's comments) reminded her that she was fairly unresolved about what to do in regards to the whole potion fiasco. She had several people's opinions, but, well, this was an ethical dilemma. Best to talk to Anakin about it before making a decision.

"Excuse me? Professor Skywalker? Do you have a moment?"

"Of course," Anakin said, looking up immediately. "How can I help you, Karla?"

"I was hoping I could talk to you about an ethical dilemma I find myself in," she said quietly, looking down at her feet as she edged into his office, nudging the door closed behind her. "I could use some...not advice, exactly. Another perspective before I decide what to do."

Anakin nodded. "Would you like to take a seat?"

Karla sat, giving him sort of a relieved smile. "Thanks Professor. Oh, did Raven give you the cookies we baked for you? They're oatmeal raisin!"

...Sorta.

Sam had promised Anakin that he'd come and see him if anything changed regarding his powers, and it was safe to say that that was true. He wasn't sure how this conversation would go, but he was too excited to keep this completely to himself. "Hey," he said. "Or should I say hola?"

"I hate this song," Anakin said with deep feeling. "How can I help you today, Sam?"

"I don't really need help. At least, not today," Sam said. "But you told me to come by if I made any progress with my research, so here I am."

Anakin motioned to a chair. "Tell me about it?"

Sam went over and shut the door first for privacy. "Why don't I show you instead?" he asked. From where he was standing, Sam held out his hand and motioned to the chair, pushing it back with his mind so he had enough space to then go over and sit down.
