Office hours [all day]

Anakin, as usual, was in his office.

Today he was sitting on his floor practicing his meditation skills.

It only looked like napping. Really.

The door was open and soft Alderaanian music was coming from his ridiculously tricked out stereo.

Anakin grinned. "Maybe you'll have your own holiday for that?"

"Zack Day!"

... Zack Day?

"More commonly known as the first newbie day of the summer. I'll be greeting the new kids and being all proud of my journeys through space and time. Or something like that."

"If it's like most crops of new students, half of them will think you're insane," Anakin replied.

[puppy_fair]

"Most of them already do," Zack pointed out, clearly totally okay with that. So, he was chipper! So what?

[sith_happened]

"You seem to be taking that rather well," Anakin said.

[puppy_fair]

"There's not much point being down about it," Zack philosophized. "Either they like it, or they don't. Most of them are just weirded out by the fact that I was a SOLDIER by thirteen, I think, but I'm still all..."

What was the word?

"Wiggly. That's just how I am!"

"I was in training by the time I was ten, and I was later than most," Anakin said. "People here can be a little judgmental."

[puppy_fair]

"You get used to it. Different worlds, different backgrounds." Zack shrugged. "I'm still interested in that training program, by the way. I mean, if I didn't blow it by being all puppy-shaped last weekend. Which I'm really sorry for."

Even if it kinda wasn't his fault. Yes.

Anakin smiled. "I'm going to be out of town this weekend, but next week there aren't any classes. Would some time then work for you, barring any animal transformations or attack of fish from the sky?"

[puppy_fair]

"Fish from the sky could be kinda fun," Zack pointed, out, and then he lauged. "But sometime next week works just fine with me. Whenever's good for you, okay?"

"How's Tuesday?" Anakin asked. "I'm usually on campus anyway."

[puppy_fair]

"Tuesday morning, maybe," Zack mused. "Afternoon is the reserves meeting, and evening is play rehearsal."

Which meant a busy Tuesday for Zack, but really, that was exactly how he liked it. There was no time to get bored, that way!

"Thursday works too, if you don't want to be too overscheduled," Anakin offered. "I'm here for my weekly lesson with Ben."

Best. Teacher. Ever.

Right up there with all of Zack's other teachers, who were also the best ever, but that was entirely beside the point.

"Thursday would be even better," he replied, nodding gratefully. "Probably a better idea than pushing myself right on up until the end of reserves, and then running out of steam when I'm supposed to be wrangling actors across the stage."

Anakin smiled. "Then Thursday morning?"

[puppy_fair]

"Thursday morning!" Zack grinned, stepping back toward the door. "Thanks so much, Master Skywalker. I'll let you get back to your meditation, now. I hope I didn't disrupt anything too much."

Meditation. Napping. Whichever.
