Flight Shed [all day]
With all of the visitors to his office yesterday, Anakin had not had a chance to get down to the flight shed to reconfigure it for next week's class. He made a trip back to the island, grabbed last night's radio broadcast, and headed down to the shed as he listened.
...and then he had to make a detour to Turtle and Canary to pick up bleach and a spongeand some lye and a shovel to kill a boyfriend with.
So now Anakin was in the shed, cleaning like a fiend in between leaving slightly incoherent messages on certain people's voicemail, and wondering if he could set the sock he'd just found on fire with the power of his brain.
Taunt the Jedi at your peril, but the flight shed's doors were wide open.

The smell of cleaning solution was a familiar one and thus it drew her to the open door of the building she'd never been in.
"Hello?"

"I was just going to say that you might want to open the windows. Bleach will give you a headache."
She'd learned that through many a post-birthdayparty disaster area.

"Our shed had a small window at the back."
There was a wild, ridiculous thought to offer to cut him some but she fought it down and pressed her lips together.
"Would you like any help then? Get it done quicker."
She'd never liked doing chores or cleaning, but a little bit of normalcy (for her anyway) might be good. And she'd learned that good hard work had it's own rewards.

Cleaning was stopping him from killing people, at least for the moment.

Hmm.
"Are you a professor, incidentally?"

"No," she admitted, "but I've always found screaming at someone is a lot better than just pounding at things."
A moment's pause before--
"And I was just curious as I haven't seen you before."
no subject
"I teach," he said, voice clipped. "I don't mingle."
no subject
"What do you teach? And I'll leave you alone after that; I just want to know since I'm reasonably sure you probably don't want to see me in your class."

She didn't laugh, though she almost wanted to. Instead, she bowed her head and slipped out.
"Thank you, professor."
And she was gone.

Besides, hiding got boring.
So when she got to the flight shed, she started with the, "I'm sorry," first thing. She doubted he'd hear that part, but she would have gotten it in there before the two-way yelling started, if their track record was anything to go by.

Obsessive? Nah.

Apparently she was getting better at biting her tongue against things that might get her into bigger trouble, because the That's practically a miracle for me remained unsaid.

There was a brief pause.
"Not my office."

Jaina apparently did not take to having her insane work schedule threatened.

Even backing down, Anakin could still sound like the most arrogant man in two galaxies.
