Anakin opened up the door to their suite for Rory, hand trailing along her bare shoulder. "You were the most beautiful woman there," he said.

"You have a slight bias," she pointed out, smiling back at him.

"Maybe a small one," he admitted, "but I don't think most people notice."

He closed the door securely behind them. "Close your eyes," he said softly.

Rory did as she was told, even going so far as to cover her eyes with her hands.

Anakin waved a flat box into his hands.

"You beat me to it last homecoming," he said, pressing the box into her hands, "so I'll say it now. I love you. I've always loved you. I'll always be in love with you. You will always, always come first. And I'll spend the rest of our lives together trying to make you as happy as you make me."

Rory just held onto the box for a moment, keeping her eyes shut. "...I love you, too. I always will. No matter what."

"The baby won't change what's us about us," Anakin said, sliding his hands around her waist. "You can open your eyes now."

She did, and looked down at the little blue box. "...ooh."

"Yes, I got you a box," Anakin teased.

"It's just what I've always wanted," she teased, still not opening it.

"In that case, Christmas is going to be easy," he laughed. "Open it up."

Rory bit her lip before carefully sliding the box open.

"...oh my god."

"In a good way?"

She answered by flinging herself at him in a kiss.

"Mmmmmph," Anakin said, thumping back against the door and chuckling. "In a good way."

"In a great way," she sighed softly.

His hands slid along the dress's fabric as he nipped at her lower lip. "In that case, you're welcome."

"Yeah, thank you," she remembered to say, a little busy kissing him.

Anakin was more than okay with that particular pastime. "It's a lovely dress, but it might have served its purpose," he murmured.

"You think so?" she murmured, tugging a little on his tie.

"I do," Anakin said, sliding his hands along her thighs. "I'm very smart. You should listen to me."

"Have you any other ideas, then?" she wondered, nipping his lower lip.

"I was kind of thinking of a repeat of last year," he murmured in her ear.

"We can't almost destroy another room," she said softly.

He nipped at her throat, then kissed down towards her shoulder. "You're the boss," he replied. "What would you like?"

"I'm really a fan of what you were doing," she admitted softly. "And what you're up to now."
