Stars Hollow Town Square [Saturday, May 10, evening]

It was a beautiful spring night, with a cool breeze fluttering against the flowers and stirring the lights and baby blue gauze around the gazebo at the center of the square.

The stars were sparkling brightly up above, trying to compete with the little electric ones lighting the town and directing the way to the ceremony and reception.

Two sections of chairs had been set up, separated by a center aisle. If it look liked it had been measured off precisely, well, yes. In a few moments, the bridal party would arrive.

For now, you had time to mingle and glance at the blond boy in the dark robes trying not to twitch up at the front.

River arrived, eyeing the crowd silently. A funeral and a wedding in the same week. She hoped that in some way they would balance things out.

Zero was here. Looking slightly tired because she was here on a break from moving, but in a cute dress and here, because she wasn't going to miss this.

Steve was here, in a nice suit, to support his (former) housemate.

He hoped he didn't cry. Weddings were so beautiful.

Yes, he had nice robes. They were freshly washed, not in tatters, had a matching cloak, and everything. And they were gray, which was only appropriate. He used to have another set, but he lost them somewhere in the galaxy. No matter, he still had these.

Bridge is here with Xander, of course. Bridge is also in a much better mood than he'd been this morning, in part because the noise in his head had stopped as soon as they'd left Fandom, in part because *wedding* and it's hard not to be cheerful about that.

Peter was beginning to realize that he really didn't care for portal travel. The fact that he had another portal trip coming up later tonight wasn't very encouraging.

Anyway, he was here and he was wearing his suit. All of his stuff was webbed on a roof somewhere to keep it safe. But he was here.

He'd even bothered to button up his shirt and figure out the tie for this.

Jaina had wondered if going to her grandfather's wedding would be less weird when she was here. The answer was no, no it wasn't.

She was on the lookout specifically for Rory's grandmother, though. She thought it would be her duty to introduce herself.

The novelty of attending weddings that she'd seen in pictures her whole life would never really get old for Aly, and she glanced around, watching everything.

Chloe was so excited that this wedding was finally happening. Better Rory and Anakin than her, with the way Jimmy was driving her a little crazy at the moment.

"I told you I'd get here safely...it's not that dark...no, Jimmy, they're not using shadows to hide a baby bump. At least I think they're not...I'll try to sneak some of the cake out for you, I promise...yes, I love you too."

Of course Jaye was there. And when she took a seat, she made sure there was room for her purse next to her. Because there was a baggie of popcorn inside in case anything happened, and she wanted to be able to get to it.

Melody was pleased to be invited, even if it did mean some fancy portal-shuffling to get from Greece to Connecticut to Singapore by tomorrow night. She took a seat and craned her neck to see who else was around.
