Office hours [all day]

Anakin was in his office, working on his final exam questions and studying Italian.

Well, food and curse words. A man has to have his priorities.

River showed up in the morning, knocking lightly on the door.

Around the same time as usual, Jaina stopped by the office, knocking at the doorframe.

Anakin looked up and grinned. "Good morning, River."

She smiled back and entered the room. "Good morning."

"Looking forward to the end of the semester?" Anakin asked.

Anakin beamed at her. "Hi," he said. "Come in."

She did, already liking that this didn't feel as potentially uncomfortable as last week. "And how are you this week?"

River face darkened and she shook her head. "The future is too unknown. Too many goodbyes to make."

Anakin nodded. "Are you leaving immediately, then?" he asked quietly.

"Buona," Anakin replied with a smile. "I'm working on a new language."

Luke knocked on the door jamb and smiled. "Hi."

Anakin put down his papers. "Hello! How was your trip?"

For a moment Luke looked confused, then smiled. "Of course you'd notice I was gone."

"Plus the shuttle was gone," Anakin said, "but yes, Luke, I do notice if I can't feel your presence on the planet. Give me a little credit here."

His cheeks went pink. "Point," he mumbled. "I went home. I'd promised my teacher that I'd come back to see him after Bespin. It just...took me a bit."

Anakin looked confused. "But Obi-Wan's dead," he said slowly.

"Huh? Oh, not him," Luke said, laughing softly. "Did you really think he'd taught me everything I'd learned before he died on the Death Star?"

"Who else taught you, then?" Anakin replied.

"You didn't just curse at me, did you?" Had to check with him and new languages.

"Master Yoda," Luke said.

He laughed. "Not unless I did something very wrong," he said. "I said I'm good."

Anakin felt like all the air had been sucked from the room.

"Yoda's alive?"

She took a seat, asking, "So what are you learning and what for?"

"I'm learning Italian," Anakin said, smiling. "Rory and I are going to Italy for our honeymoon. Obi-Wan insisted on being able to speak to the locals."
