Vader'd had a terrible week: Rory'd stopped wearing a necklace moved on forgotten about him yelled (not that this had been a shocking change of pace) and he'd thrown her into detention, the hooker over at the Sin had turned him down, he'd gotten into a fight with the ninja, and then someone had stolen his TIE fighter.

It didn't matter that it was back. It didn't even matter that he'd gotten to pretend to kill a bunch of students in detention on Saturday.

He was in a mood.

Schrodinger nodded. "Taking your ship for a joyride. Interseting. Not what I would have expected."

"It was something his father would have done," Vader said. He didn't sound at all pleased about that.

"And that's something we want to do direct him away from," Schrodinger said. "As his father was a Jedi, correct?"

"Not a very good Jedi," Vader said. "Encouraging him in the more reckless parts of his father's personality...could work."

Schrodinger nodded. "The boy seems to hero worship him. Does he know much about his father?"

Vader thought about it. "I don't know," he finally admitted. "His father was gone before he was born."

"Hm. I was just thinking that we might try to remove any lingering influence. I mean, if he's talking to anyone who knew him or something."

"I have a few thoughts on that," Vader said, very obviously not sharing those thoughts.

Schrodinger nodded. "Well, if the chance comes up, I'll see what I can do." He popped his neck. "There's something else I wanted to talk to you about. Are you aware that Parent's Weekend is coming up for the school?"

Vader nodded. "I am."

"A...' parent' of mine will be coming. Circumstances prevent Herr Major or Herr Captain from attending themselves, but Herr Doktor has found time in his schedule to come down."

"And I could meet him?" Vader asked.

Schrodinger nodded. "You could. I believe he would be most interested in such a thing."

Vader inclined his helmet. "I will be in my office on Saturday and Sunday."

Schrodinger nodded. "I shall tell him so. I'm afraid I wasn't able to advance much in the way of converting Skywalker. I was called away on a mission over the weekend."

Evil Sith Lords don't say things like "that's all right" or "I understand", but Vader didn't try to kill Schrodinger, which was kind of the same thing.

"Was it successful?" he asked.

"Very," Schrodinger said. "One of our highest placed plants yet. It's amazing what people will do for eternal life."

Vader thought of all of the Emperor's plans. "Indeed."

"Is there anything else for me, then? You said you would have something for the Major."

Vader slid a piece of paper across the desk.

"For your Major," he said.

Schrodinger took the piece of paper, folded it up, slid it into his pocket, and saluted. "I shall deliver it to him tonight. And inform the Doctor of your invitation."

Vader nodded. "I will see you this weekend."
