Anakin was staring at websites with honeymoon locations listed because he knew better than to touch anything wedding-related without Rory's permission.

Well, except for one thing, but he'd left a message to get that started.

To the surprise of no one, Jaina headed off to Anakin's office at her normal time. "Have a good week?" she asked, because who needed hello?

"It was certainly eventful," Anakin replied with a smile. He tapped his finger against his lips. "Have you been sworn in formally as a Jedi Knight back home?" he asked.

Luke poked his head into the office after his class. "You wanted to see me? I was coming by anyway. I have a favor to ask."

"As an apprentice, but I hold the title," she said, curious. "Why?"

"I wanted to do something for Luke," Anakin said, cheeks turning pink. "He's clearly passed all the trials, but I'm not sure he feels entirely like a Jedi yet."

Anakin smiled at him. "You can ask," he teased. "What do you need?"

"To borrow the shuttle?" Luke said with a hopeful look. "I need to head home for a little bit. I want to see Leia."

Anakin could hardly refuse a request put that way, and he wondered a little cynically to himself if Luke had phrased it like that on purpose.

"Of course," he said. "When were you planning on leaving?"

"And you want to appoint him?" she asked, thinking this was a pretty good idea.

"After class on Friday," Luke replied. "I'd be back before my class on Tuesday. It's not a mission or anything, just a chance to get a little bit of a breather."

Anakin nodded. "It used to be the entire Council, of course, but circumstances change. I'd very much like you to be there."

Anakin's forehead creased. "You need a breather?" he asked worriedly.

Maybe he shouldn't ask his favor.

"I'd like that," Jaina said. "He sort of had to do all that himself in my time, so I think it'd be good that he doesn't have to here."

"Oh, I'm fine," Luke assured him quickly. "I just haven't seen Leia in almost a year, and the last time the circumstances weren't great."

"I'm not a fan of useless ceremony, but this one is different," Anakin said. He smiled. "Though I suppose it's a little late to ask him to grow a Padawan braid."

Jaina frowned. "Did I know about the braid?"

Anakin nodded. "I remember," he said quietly. He studied his hands for a moment. "Now for my favor. The wedding has been moved up. Um. To the week after graduation."

He looked over at Luke. "Rory and I were hoping that you'd officiate for us."

"Qui-Gon had one?" Anakin replied. "It grew until you became a Knight. The longer your training took, the longer the braid. It was a deeply silly haircut."

"I'm not telling Uncle Luke about that," she decided. "I'm happy to do away with that tradition. Also technically I've been learning since I was two, that wouldn't work."

Anakin smiled. "The haircut didn't start until you were a Padawan--normally around 13 or so. A braid that dragged on the floor behind you would be a real pain in combat."

He reached into a drawer and pulled out a key to unlock a different drawer, then removed a holoprojector. "Obi-Wan and I both had the haircuts here," he said. He smirked a little proudly. "My braid came off before Obi-Wan's did."

Luke's jaw dropped, and it took him a solid minute before he could form words. "Can I do that?" he finally asked.

"You've grown a bit since then," she noted with a little smile.

"Of course you can," Anakin said, giving him an encouraging smile. "It wasn't something Obi-Wan mentioned?"

"I'd certainly hope so," Anakin said dryly. "I was eye to eye with Master Yoda back then. I'd outgrown Obi-Wan before I moved to Fandom."
