Stars Hollow [Christmas morning]

Anakin was pretty sure he was the first one awake, given the lack of coffee smells coming from the kitchen (which he fixed immediately, being a good kiss-up houseguest), so he made sure that the gifts he brought with him were stacked under the tree before pouring himself a cup of coffee, stared out the window at the snow, and waiting for the rest of the house to start stirring.

Rory had woken up as soon as the smell had wafted into her room, and quietly tiptoed out of her room (taking care not to wake Jo, or Luke in the living room). It didn't take her long to find either the coffee or he who'd made it at all.

"Merry Christmas," she murmured, sidling into the kitchen and pressing a kiss to his neck before making a beeline for the coffee.

"Merry Christmas," Anakin replied quietly, smiling. "Would it be tacky to yank my son's blankets away to wake him? Obi-Wan used to do that to me."

"It's Christmas," she said mock-sternly, pouring a cup and going back over to take a seat.

And if the chair she wanted to sit in happened to have an Anakin in it, well, she would just have to sit on him.

It was a good thing her mother and his son were asleep.

Anakin, with a lapful of Rory, settled for Force-waving his gifts over to her.

He tore into the gift with childish glee and smiled when he read the shirt. "And no one thinks I have a sense of humor," he said, kissing her cheek.
