Vader was working on his lesson plan for the week.

It wasn't going well, as was obvious by the periodic shattering of cheap Ikea vases against the wall.

A Zen garden sitting carefully in the corner of his desk remained untouched, though.

Strange.

Blair was a little unnerved by the long silence but he shrugged and looked around briefly. "Can I put my stuff...uh...somewhere?"

Vader gestured towards the chair facing his desk. "You may sit."

"Thanks!" Blair bounced forward and took a seat, dumping his stuff on the floor in front of him. Grabbing a notebook and pen, he grinned at Vader. "Okay, first off...I guess you know my name and all, but you can call me Blair. And you're Mr. Darth Lord Vader? Or is that Mr. Lord Darth Vader?"

"Either Lord Vader or Darth Vader."

"So where are you from, man?" Blair jotted down some notes. "Are you royalty there?"

"I am from Imperial Center," Vader said, "and I am a Sith Lord. Not royalty. I work for the Emperor."

"Where you a teacher for the Emperor guy?" Blair asked.

Vader restrained himself from snorting. It wouldn't be dignified.

"Hardly."

Blair waited a moment to see if he was going to say something else. "Uh...okay. How long have you been teaching?"

"Since the beginning of the semester in a formal manner," Vader said. "I had spent most of my time up until now persuing...other activities at the behest of the Emperor."

"Wow, that's not very long. Do you feel like your other activities prepared you for teaching or do you think that you require more training to be an adequate teacher?" Blair asked.

Vader mulled the question over. "I have a unique perspective to offer to my students," he said after a few moments.

"That's good." Blair said as he scribbled down the quote. "I have a source that tells me that your teaching style is...a bit on the scary side."

"I do not believe in coddling," Vader growled.

"But you certainly believe in detention, don't you, man?" Blair raised an eyebrow.

"Principal Washburn forbids me from using my normal techniques in dealing with inadequacy," Vader said, sounding decidedly sullen.

"What would be your normal techniques?" Blair asked, not totally sure he wanted to hear the answer.

"Eliminating the problem."

And if that sounded scary, well...yeah.

Yeah, that sounded scary. Blair blinked for a moment as the implications set in.

"S-s-so, um...what's your favorite thing about Fandom High?"

Vader thought about it.

"I like the weather."

"Oookay." Blair nodded slowly. "Do you have a personal quote that you'd like to share with our readers?"

"Don't make me angry."

Blair nodded. "Got it. Anything else you want to add?"

"No."

"Right then." Blair gathered up his stuff. "Um...off the record, how do you feel about protests or petitions?"
