Office hours [all day]

Anakin was in his office writing down a list of all the components the sparring room in the Jedi Temple used to have, with a vague thought of recreating it in the Danger Room. He felt that simple head-to-head confrontations with a lightsaber weren't challenging enough for the Jedi students who were at the school.

The students, naturally, were not consulted on this.

The door was left open.

A bored teaching buddy lurked in the doorway.

Squall noticed the new scar on Anakin's face, and gestured towards his own. "Admit it. You're just trying to copy me."

"Good," Squall replied. "Fan clubs SUCK. You save the world once, and nobody ever leaves you alone."

Sometime during the afternoon, an envelope is left taped to Anakin's door. Inside is a note, which reads:

Anakin,

Earlier this year, I came to see you and apologize for certain things that happened- or more accurately, didn't happen- during the time Rory and I were dating. I realise now that this was a mistake, and I'd like to apologize for *that*, because what I had to say was something that should have been said to Rory. Which it was, but I shouldn't have come to you first, because it makes it seem as if Rory was an object or a kid who couldn't accept her own apologies or make her own choices. That's obviously not true, and wasn't fair to either of you, because accepting my apology would have forced you to play into the same mistake.

You and I haven't spoken since then, and though I can understand why, I regret that we're no longer on good terms. Rory's friendship is something that's important to both of us, and sooner or later we're going to end up crossing paths again; I'd really like for there to be no bad feelings between us when that happens.

However that works out, though, I'd like you to know that I wish you well, and I really am glad that you're back.
