Anakin was in his office with his shirt off and a bucket of white paint in his hand as he attempted--yet again--to get the glitter off of the walls.

You'd think the alien attack that had killed most of his furniture would have budged some of the damn stuff.

You would be wrong.

The door was open if you were interested in learning interesting Huttese curses.

"Can't have that," Anakin murmured, then closed the space between them.

A cynical part of him was waiting for something else to interrupt the kiss he'd been waiting half of his life to give her.

Rory's brain had finally shut down.

After everything they'd gone through in the past year, she couldn't let herself overthink things when Anakin was actually, finally, kissing her again.

So she just gave in and forgot about the late wife, and the age difference, and that fun used-to-be-evil thing.

She forgot everything that had kept her balking, and kissed him back.

Anakin would be so glad to know that he still had the power to break Rory's brain like that, but at this particular second, he wasn't interested in anyone saying anything.

He was too busy processing the feelings and the sensations--he hadn't felt this giddy, this warm, this fuzzy--in years.

...wait.

Fuzzy?

With a yowl (wait, yowl?) of disappointment, Anakin discovered that he was no longer kissing Rory.

Or, you know, human.

That was one pissed off kitty.

Rory blinked a bit, as that had been abrupt.

"Is the door op --"

She looked down, and stared. "...dammit, you would think I'd know better, huh?"

Anakin was venting his wee kitty rage on the low-lying office supplies.

Stupid Makeout Supply Cabinet.

Stupid Fandom.

"I have no idea how I'm going to get out of here," Rory said, and tried the knob. "...I guess it worked. Huh."

She looked down at Anakin. "Are you coming?"

Anakin looked way, way up at her--weird sensation--then stalked out of the closet, tail swishing like his cape would have.

That was one disappointed Jedi.
