Anakin was in his office sketching something out on what appeared to be almost an entire ream of paper.

Every now and again his attention would wander and he'd stare out the window and watch the rain fall, lost in thought.

John came by early, having thought enough about this and coming to, what he thought, was the right decision.

He knocked a few times.

"Come in, John," Anakin called.

John frowned before coming inside. "That's freaky. Or do I smell that bad that you could smell me coming?"

He took a moment to drip a little outside the door before coming inside, still wet.

"Sorry," Anakin said, pressing his lips together. "Old habit. I can just tell who people are. It's a Force resonance thing."

It's been a week, so Aeryn's at the office, knocking at the door.

"Come in, Aeryn," Anakin called.

She opens the door, greeting him with a "Hey. I meant to be by earlier this week..."

"...because you wanted to see me as a woman?" Anakin ended.

Rory was there, of course. And this time, she actually had a slightly bigger bag in addition to the two cups of coffee she was carrying. She lightly knocked on the door with her forehead.

Anakin walked over to the door and opened it. "Hi. I'm me again."

Rory smiled. "Thank God. Though you were an oddly pretty girl."

She handed him one of the cups. "I'm rewarding you with coffee for agreeing to do the interview. Have you been sleeping yet?"

"Some," Anakin said, taking a sip and letting out a small sigh.

Deciding to check on how Anakin was settling back in, Sam knocked on the door.

Anakin closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

"Come in, Sam," he called.

"Hey," she poked her head in, "You busy? I brought coffee."

"The real thing? Rory tried to fake me out with decaf," he said.

Angela had a free day, so she decided to stop off and say hi.

And it felt weird to come empty-handed, so she had a bag of chocolate-covered espresso beans.

Anakin looked up and smiled. "Angela!"

"Anakin!" Angela said, stepping forward for a hug and stopping just short. "Wow. You look ..." Older. And a little tired. "This is amazing."

Having finally worked up the courage to do so, Bridge stops by Anakin's office and knocks on the door.

"Come in, Bridge," Anakin said, then busied himself with some terribly important doodling on the papers in front of him.

"Hey," Bridge says, a little nervously. "It's uh. Good to see you, you know. Alive. And stuff."

Rose stuck her head in and knocked, "Hey, Anakin, busy?"

Anakin pushed aside his sketches. "Nothing that can't wait," he said.

"I flew," she blurted out, excited to share, "alone, there was this alien invasion and I was the only one who had experience (meaning all of one lesson) but I flew!" She paused and winced, "Botched the landin' though."
