Anakin's House, Tuesday morning

It was weirdly quiet at home without Rory, Juliet, Christopher or Vladdie. Anakin, in a habit born out of a decade's marriage, kept making too much coffee and was now stuck drinking yesterday's muddy dregs rather than chancing a run to the store when he ran out of grounds.

He wandered through the house, cleaning up toys (always toys) and updating his list of those taken as he listened to the radio broadcast--so far a lot of teachers, but not too many students. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. He'd hoped they hired people competent enough to not keep falling in holes.

Anakin had not seen one of the holes, no.

He did a check of his food supplies (with Rory's allergy to most things healthy and perishable, they were still good) and glanced out his window, wondering if he should chance a run over to the school.

Well, hopefully he was okay with a knock on the door. How did Grogu knock from inside his pram? Don't think about it.

Anakin frowned as he opened the door.

"How do you know where I live?"

It's a town of like 200 people, Anakin. It's not that hard.

Could you feel judgement via the force? Because that was happening right now, Anakin.

(And of course you could, Mace Windu was full of it toward Anakin back in the day.)

Anakin was very used to being judged.

Unfortunately.

"Where's Wanda?" he asked.

Grogu sent him the image of yet another caretaker being taken away by a hole. Because he was cursed. Just cursed.

"I'm sorry," Anakin said sincerely. "Want to come in? We have toys."

He'd also like some juice, but toys would be acceptable.

Ignore the collection he had in the pram with him. Thanks, Wanda.

"Let me find the kinetic sand," Anakin said.

And a juice box.

"You can use the Force to push images through it."

That would be his new favorite toy ever, you know. And then Anakin would have to tell Din where to buy it.

Grogu perked up immensely at that suggestion too.

As long as he wasn't pushing through traumatic images of angry men in swooping cloaks, Anakin was completely fine!

"I'll get you a snack, too. Don't eat the sand."
