Anakin was in his office with an industrial container of Febreze and a broom, trying to return it to some semblance of normal.

It was...kind of getting there. Even if it smelled like aggressively flowery dead fish now.

And there would be a text coming through, a picture of the almost one month-old twins in carriers on Jaina's desk, one looking cute, one looking asleep and cute.

It was important that people saw these pictures.

Awwww. They're so cute! Are they sleeping at all or is the one on the left faking it?

Daniel is really sleeping. He's also the one who refuses to sleep at night!

They are sneaky that way. Christopher woke up every day for the day at 4:30AM for three years. Awful.

Jaina could probably handle 4:30, maybe. If she wasn't up all night. Not the point.

I'm very very glad we've got help. But they're cute so I'll forgive it. How are things there?

We had an attack of sharks? I'm in the office now trying to get rid of dead fish smell. It's not going well.

And I haven't even told you the really stupid part yet. There was also a hurricane, so the sharks were flying through buildings.

Well that was enough to get her to call.

"Hi," Anakin said, grinning. "It's a good story. You'll like it."

"Yeah, text is a bad medium for this. Tell," Jaina said.

[sith_happened]

"Okay, so a huge storm was scheduled to hit Fandom, which was a bizarrely normal problem to have here," Anakin began. "So naturally that was why the sharks showed up. They fell on the island for most of the day and then a bunch of people in the library discovered this idea that we could break up a hurricane by dropping frozen sharks into the eye of it."

...yeah.

"That is amazing and ridiculous," Jaina said, frowning. "Everyone okay?"

"Amazingly, yes," Anakin said. "A few shops in town were smashed pretty flat, though."

[solo_sword]

"Oh. That part's bad," Jaina said, shifting the phone so that she could pick Dax up, since he was watching her and looked bored. "Along with the apparent fish smell."

"It's smelled like low tide here for a week now," Anakin said. "It's awful."

[solo_sword]

"I was going to say I'm sorry I missed a decent fight, but now I'm not so sure," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

"It was an experience. I didn't fly, but I helped freeze the sharks on the ground...and I can't believe that was a thing I actually did."

[solo_sword]

"How exactly do you freeze sharks?" Jaina wondered.

[sith_happened]

"Well, I used a freeze ray one of the students designed," Anakin said. "Other people showed up who had magic freezing powers."

"I'm back to being sorry I missed it," Jaina said. "A freeze ray</>?"

[sith_happened]

"It was a lot of fun," Anakin said with a chuckle. "I'll send you the schematics."

[solo_sword]

"My inner fourteen-year-old is so excited. Seriously, not even joking." See if she ended up trying it next time she got all stressed out.

"Don't use it on annoying people," Anakin said as he transferred the notes he'd written about the weapon to Jaina.

[solo_sword]

"I don't think I'm able to without causing a diplomatic incident," Jaina said with a frown. "Even more than before."

[sith_happened]

"That doesn't sound like any kind of fun at all," Anakin admitted.

[solo_sword]

"I haven't punched anybody in eight months. It's killing me," Jaina admitted.

[sith_happened]

"Come visit," Anakin said. "We'll probably be out of sharks by then, but there's always someone around to punch."

[solo_sword]

"It might be a bit," Jaina said with a sigh. "I want to, neither Jag nor I are ready to let the twins go anywhere we're not yet, and it's tough for both of us to sneak off to another galaxy. Though... we might be able to add it on with our Hapes trip."

[sith_happened]

"When are you heading to Hapes?" Anakin asked. "Maybe I could meet you there. They probably aren't as up to date on their ancient Jedi history to recognize me."

[solo_sword]

"Next week, though to warn you, it's going to involve a lot of Jag and Tenel Ka arguing in a super tense and uncomfortable way," Jaina said. "I could check with Tenel Ka. I don't know if you've ever really gotten time with Allana, even."

[sith_happened]

"I definitely wouldn't want to head into Hapan territory uninvited," Anakin said. "And I'd love to spend some time with Allana if she'd like me to."

[solo_sword]

"I'll talk to her. It'd probably do her some good, actually. Plus she's really great."

Seriously. Great kid.

"Well, with that kind of endorsement, I really want to meet her," Anakin said.
