33 Apocalypse Avenue [mid-morning]

A very small boy with a bucket over his head--thanks for that, Friday's toy chest--toddled down the hallway and made his way down the stairs.

Bounce-bounce-bounce.

Rear ends are great for that.

He made his way into the kitchen and leaned up onto his tiptoes to reach the cereal--something bright with incomprehensible writing on the side--and tipped about half of it onto the floor.

Exasperated, he lifted the bucket off of his eyes to see. Bright blue eyes gazed around the room and settled on the telephone.

Ooooh. He could call all of his friends!

Or punch random numbers and leave messages...which is what a four-year-old is much more inclined to do...

[OOC: Open for housemates and friends who know who this is. Radio squirrels--buckethead kid doesn't have a name...]

Pickwick plocked nervously and scurried down to the basement to hide. Friday shrugged, because eh? What could you do? He did, however, take the opportunity to turn on Buckethead with his non-existent sword. "Augue eget hendrerit luctus!" Friday said, lunging with an 'ARR!'.

It definitely sounded like he was challenging Buckethead to a duel.

Well that was decidedly unfair. Buckethead had a whooshy sword! Friday needed a whooshy sword. He threw his invisible normal sword aside and picked up an invisible whooshy sword. He pushed himself to his feet, a little unsteady, and whooshed the sword at Buckethead.

Then he blew a raspberry at Buckethead.

Friday the Fearless may not have been able to walk properly, but he had a chair to hold onto and determination, darn it. Friday whooshed his sword around in a circle and slashed it at Buckethead. "Arr!" He just really liked saying 'arr'.

Friday giggled, then grinned. "Ullamcorper ac!" He lunged at Buckethead, falling flat on his stomach with an 'oof'. His whooshy sword went skittering away. He looked up at Buckethead, scared of getting his head chopped off, and rolled quickly to the left a couple of times and picked up his sword.

"Gaaaaaaaah!" Friday yelled and clutched his arm. He whooshed his sword at Buckethead wildly. There was definitely no skill involved.

Friday tried to shove Buckethead.

"Rory's got cookies!" Logan said, grinning. "An' Bucke'head got cereals all over the floor."

[identity profile] no-toast-thanks.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
"Buckethead's silly. Who's going to clean all that up? *I'm* not."

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 08:36 am (UTC)(link)
Rory frowned. "Well, that was rude," she decided, and let Vladdie squirm out of the bag to yip at Logan. She pulled a little bag of chocolate-chip cookies out, and offered one.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 08:37 am (UTC)(link)
"...hi there," Rory said, not getting knocked over by some miracle. She patted the little creature on the bucket. "I got your call!"

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 08:39 am (UTC)(link)
Rory didn't have to really try to guess this one. "Hello, Thursday. And...little boy whose name I still don't know. Want some cookies?"

Vladdie yipped a greeting as well. It was polite.

[identity profile] no-toast-thanks.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 08:43 am (UTC)(link)
"I want a cookie! Please!" she exclaimed. "That's Friday. I think he'd like a cookie too."

Friday nodded. He really did want a cookie.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 08:47 am (UTC)(link)
"Cookies for both of you!" Rory said, holding out two cookies. "Hi, Friday. We didn't meet properly before. How old are you guys?"

[identity profile] no-toast-thanks.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 08:55 am (UTC)(link)
Thursday bounced on her heels and took both cookies, then handed one down to Friday.

"I just turned five and I had chocolate cake and presents and everything! Friday's 2." Friday, being the Silent Bob of the group, shrugged and nodded his approval. "He's just little. But I'm much bigger. I can read ALL of Jane Eyre all on my own now."

Weetiny Thursday was rather like weetiny Hermione in a way that was kind of scary.

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
"Wow," Rory said admiringly. "Did you like it?"

[identity profile] no-toast-thanks.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 09:05 am (UTC)(link)
"Oh yes," she said as if not liking it was the silliest thing ever. "I can't wait to read it again. It's my most favourite book ever!" She munched on her cookie. "I don't like Bertha though. She ruins everything!"

[identity profile] auroryborealis.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 09:13 am (UTC)(link)
"Bertha is kind of a stupidhead," Rory said solemnly. "I like Jane though."

[identity profile] no-toast-thanks.livejournal.com 2007-02-18 09:17 am (UTC)(link)
"Jane's really coooooooooool. I wish I was like her. Then I could be really strong and do stuff all on my own and have adventures!"
