Office hours [all day Thursday]

Anakin was in his office with the door mostly closed, but he was there, kriff it.

Because he was a team player, okay? And a stubborn bastard who'd promised he'd be there on Thursday, so there he was, wondering if Jedi could have anxiety attacks..

[OOC: So, so open.].

Suddenly, there was a Parker.

"The school should pay the students to learn things."

Now she was looking for a high place to perch on. Like a pterodactyl.

"So they'll want to learn stuff." Duh. "Also, so they will have money. Why doesn't the school do this?"

This modern educational system, Anakin: what's that about?

The sofa proved good for the internal game of Don't Step On the Floor she was starting.

Clearly your daughter was more sensible than you, Anakin. There you were, in a swishy cloak, and you weren't even sitting on top of your desk.

"People get paid to work. Why don't students get paid to learn?" She really wanted to know!

"You don't need school to learn things," Parker pointed out. "I didn't... also, ugh. Does he have a disorder? A drooling disorder?"

Now she was standing on the back of the couch, contemplating her next move. Maybe to the twirly chair.

[identity profile] whoisalicewhite.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
"That's where someone teaches you skills and things, right?"

LEAP! Twiiiiiiirl. Parker held up her arms like a gymnast, pleased.

"See, and that's my point, Archie paid me in ice cream."

[identity profile] whoisalicewhite.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Parker contemplated that, the chair still slowly twirling. "I did mean money. Or treats. So you think treats is fair?"

Ahahah, take that, Eliot! See? She was right!

"...wait, what are gremlins?"

[identity profile] whoisalicewhite.livejournal.com 2015-01-08 08:17 pm (UTC)(link)
"I haven't had a pet. I have a plant? And a little robot Hardison made me." Which was not a treat. It was a wonderful awesome gift whom she loved, but she didn't have to feed it. Parker was pretty clear that feeding was required there. She thought. "And we gave them cake on Tuesday but Eliot said we shouldn't always do that."

Eliot was such a killjoy.

"Liking me, who cares, liking the class, yes." Parker was unsure how that was unclear. "I want to be the best. And this should be the best. I like cake, they like cake."

Where was the disconnect for everyone else here?

[identity profile] whoisalicewhite.livejournal.com 2015-01-09 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
"He says it will spoil them and not make it special." Which, okay, was sort of a point. "And he said you guys didn't have a budget for money to give them. That it was just for pens or something, I didn't get that." Now, where to jump to next? "But that Danger Shop had to cost a lot of money..."

She was suspicious of you, Fandom High! What was the deal here?

[identity profile] whoisalicewhite.livejournal.com 2015-01-09 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
It still saddened her. "Budgets." Ugh. Leverage, LLC worked on an alternate revenue stream. (They stole a certain percentage off the top.)

A back-bend upward, and she was on the filing cabinet. Parker carefully sat yoga-style, and studied Anakin. "How do you get your students to want to come to class?"

Look, she was doing this teaching thing. She wanted to be Good At It. She cared that the kids keep showing up, if cake was out.

Parker hmmmm'ed at that, then nodded. "Well, so far they're good with learning to jump off buildings."

And if that conversation between Edward and Kathy were anything to judge by, some of them would be doing it for fun later.

"So. More of that, then."

Scary? Well. Not to the kids. Anyone who was going to go near them....
