Office hours [all day Tuesday]

Anakin was in his office catching up on the morning news (not that Rory hadn't given him an earful about the Senate candiate from Missouri) and wondering about the ethical ramifications of just flying there and punching him in the head.

Probably wrong, but worth it, he decided.

His office door was open.

"That sounds like a good idea," Anakin said, nodding. Everything he knew about college, he'd picked up from Rory. "Maybe find some activities on campus to get involved in?" he suggested.

Because Raven had sorority girl written all over her. Really.

Oh, yes, she'd fight right in.

"I might help Dinah with some of her extracurricular activities in protecting Gotham," Raven said. That's not what Anakin meant, Raven. "If there is any aid I can give her, I will gladly do so."

Anakin barely avoided facepalming. "I was thinking more in terms of a student newspaper?"

"Oh," Raven said, getting it now. "I doubt they will have anything like the Magic Reserves in Gotham. But I will investigate what is offered."

"Try things you never thought of," Anakin suggested. "Maybe not eating meat or big game hunting or something, but expand your horizons. I've heard that's what college is for."

Raven wrinkled her nose at meat eating. Eww.

"Prince Lucivar wanted to teach me self-defense, fighting with a stick," she said. "The timing did not work out, though. That would have certainly been a change."

"He wanted to teach you to hit people with a stick?" Anakin looked confused. "Like a walking stick?"

Blame Kennedy.

"A fighting stick," Raven said. "It is about this long and this thick." She tried to mime it with her hands. "I have told him I do not think I could strike someone with it, so I am not entirely certain what he expects me to do."

"Learn to not get hit, maybe?" Anakin mused. "Defense is good."

[trigons_child]

"I believe that is the idea," Raven said, nodding. "But I generally teleport in the need of that. Or try to defuse the aggression of whomever might be attempting to hurt me, if I can. But I told him I would try."

"It's good to have options in case your powers are hindered," Anakin agreed.

[trigons_child]

"How often will I have a stick in such occasions?" Raven said with a tiny smile.

[sith_happened]

"You can always find a stick," Anakin declared, "or a rock, or a piece of pipe..."

Anakin lived an interesting life.

Raven laughed softly and shook her head. "I will take your word for it," she said. "But I do not know when I am to learn this at any rate. I do not know if I will go to Kaeleer before the year is through. That would depend on Karla."

Anakin nodded. "With school here?" he assumed.
