Office hours [all day]

Anakin was running a little behind today (for some reason Rory hadn't been all that anxious to let him leave the house...), but after getting a slightly garbled version of what had gone on last week, he had a feeling that people might be a little interested in checking in on him today.

So there he was, in his office, with plenty of tissues, pastries, and coffee (and something a little stronger in the desk for Zoe). He was contemplating putting up a "Not Dead Yet" sign, but figured that was probably not entirely necessary.

[OOC: Am back! Ish! At least for the next few days. And I'm now living five hours ahead of East Coast time.]

Jaina's own memories from the last week were vague at best, but for some reason she'd just found that she really, really wanted to hug her grandfather. So the second she sensed him on island, she went down to his office to do just that.

Incoming, Anakin.

"Ooof," said Anakin, hugging her back. "Hi."

"Hi. ...So how are you?" she said, not letting go quite yet.

"Missed, apparently," Anakin said with a little smile. "You?"

"Oh, you know. Really confused and not that happy about it," she said, pulling herself away.

Anakin gestured to the coffee, then the empty chair. "Talk to me."

She would take both those things, thank you very much. "Well, I definitely spent the last week at home, except I was here, except I wasn't at home. I feel like I've had too many concussions."

Also she felt the need for glompings before hellos.

Yeah, so, he was so not getting away that easily. Rory had spent the week swinging through broken library windows and falling asleep on books in Anakin's name. She was so not letting him just, like, leave their apartment for a whole day already.

So it was with Chris in his stroller and Juliet by the hand that she wandered in. "Oh hey, what a coincidence!" she said, because yeah, how shocking that she'd find him here? "I came onto the island for...thing, and the kids wanted to come too, and look I brought you coffee?"

Look. It had been a tiring week. She was allowed to let that be her reasoning for visiting him at work.

Anakin smiled at her and stood up to kiss her, making sure to linger there for a bit.

"I love coffee," he agreed. "Hi."

"Hi," Rory said, setting the cup on his desk...with the other coffee. Damn her specious excuses! "And also Juliet and Chris wanted to see you."

Especially Chris, who couldn't talk yet.

"Daddy!" Juliet called, tugging on his sleeve. "C'n I color?"

"Of course," Anakin said. "The supplies are in the bottom drawer. Color on paper, please, not my desk, the floor or the wall."

Again. Cough.

"I'm glad to see them too," he assured Rory. "It feels like it's been a while."

"Yeah," Rory said, keeping an eye on Juliet as she carefully went into the drawer where she knew crayons were. "I didn't see them all last week, either."

She was still kind of trying not to think about last week, despite how much she was reacting to it.

Anakin gave her another hug, sending a pulse of reassurance through the Force toward her. "I'm here now."

Raven really wasn't ready to see anyone yet, but for one person she'd make an exception. She teleported herself to the school, and though she was trying to keep her emotions tightly shielded, she was probably leaking sorrow and guilt.

"Professor Skywalker?" she said hesitantly. She almost wasn't sure she could trust her eyes that he was there.

"Raven," Anakin said, looking a little alarmed at the emotions he was picking up. "Come in, please."

She took a few unsure steps into his office. She hadn't slept at all last night; her mind had been too filled with the nightmarish memories of the past week. She'd never met him in that other world, never learned to shield herself from other's emotions, and then had fallen into Umbridge's hands.

"I wanted to see that you were all right," she said quietly. "I know Fandom was restored to normal" -- she had no idea how that happened, though -- "but I just wanted to see...."

"That I'm alive?" Anakin replied with typical bluntness.

Raven nodded. "You were not there. I never met you. I never...learned to shield."

He could probably figure out what that did to her.

Anakin winced. "You lost control."

Zoe was not one to hug without warning, so she stayed in the doorway for a moment first, just looking at Anakin. "Hey there. You're an awfully good sight."

Anakin grinned at her. "I've been getting that impression."

"I'm going to hug you, and you should just go with it," Zoe said, coming over and doing just that. "It's been a rough week. Did Rory tell you what happened?"

"Bits and pieces," Anakin said, hugging her back. "It wasn't the most coherent debriefing ever."

"I can't imagine why. It was Umbridge," Zoe explained. "She'd killed you, which is crazy enough that when everything else got crazier..."

"How crazy and pink-clad did it get?" Anakin asked.
