Anakin's office door had a new sign on it: "ANAKIN SKYWALKER, DEAN OF STUDENTS"

Somewhere Obi-Wan Kenobi was laughing himself sick (or as sick as a long-dead Force ghost could become).

He was here for you, students, unless you had something stupid to complain about.

The door was open!

Annie had a mission, and she figured this would be a good place to start. So she knocked on the door and said, "Professor- Um, Dean Skywalker?"

She was still maybe a little intimidated.

That had a nice ring to it. Anakin had just decided.

"Come in, Miss Edison."

"Hi," she said, stepping inside. "So, I'm on the school newspaper and I was wondering if I'd be able to interview you for my first article."

The last time he'd been interviewed, it had been during a day where he was unable to tell a lie and the entire school had learned far, far too much about his haircare routine.

But today was different, so he gave her a cautious nod of assent. "Of course."

"Great," she said happily, taking a seat and pulling a recorder out of her bookbag. "Do you mind if I record this?"

"Not at all," Anakin said, looking amused. "What's our topic of discussion?"

Annie flipped the recorder on and said, "I'm investigating what the school board was thinking in giving Professor Madrox a class."

The first thing her recording would have was Anakin's slightly hysterical laughter for a solid thirty seconds.

Annie just smiled a little, glad to be getting this, and politely waited till he was finished.

Zoe smiled at the sign as she knocked on Anakin's door. "I see you're settling into your new position," she said, leaning against the doorway.

Anakin grinned back at her. "I've already been interviewed for the paper. I'm feeling like quite the celebrity again."

Zoe laughed. "As well you should. I'm very glad you said yes to the job."

"I'm just glad the hundred people in front of me said no," he replied.

"Oh, yes, the list of people I could have asked was so long," Zoe said dryly.

"Was Madrox on it?" Anakin asked with a sly smile.

"Oh, don't you dare even joke about that. The school board might hear you, and then where will we be?" Zoe said.

"At Caritas, drinking heavily?"

[bigdamnprincipal]

"Well, yes, there's that," Zoe said. "But I don't have to worry about that, because you said yes."

And what was that sound coming from the hallway?

Why it was 21 Jamie's playing kazoos in honor of Anakin's promotion. Playing "Little Bunny Foo Foo."

CLANG!!!

With the occasional cowbell for that touch of class.

And now the dupes had moved on in their musical medley to a Broadway show.

Anakin would be strong! He would not hide under his desk and wait for this to be over.
