Office hours [all day]

With Ben no longer on the island, Anakin was missing his sparring partner (and yes, his grandson, but he was trying not to get maudlin), so he'd spent thirty minutes with the training remote before heading into his office.

He was jotting notes down about his first impressions of his students from class on Tuesday, then moved on to plotting his class for next week.

The door was open.

Wesley? Had been putting this off for a while. But he knew that he would eventually have to talk to Anakin about the Katniss situation, so he chose now.

He knocked on the door, waiting hesitantly in the doorway. "Hello," he said, wavering a bit from foot to foot. "Er -- are you busy?"

"Nothing urgent," Anakin assured him. "Come in, Wesley."

Wes had almost been hoping not to have to go through with this after all, but no such luck.
"So, er."

This was awkward.

"I... I was told you're in contact with Haymitch Abernathy."

Anakin nodded, looking worried. "Have you heard something from Katniss?"

"Oh, no, nothing like that," he hastened to clarify. "I just thought I should stop by and say hello, I suppose."

Yeah, why had he stopped by again?

"And the plan to watch the arena" -- Wesley refused to call it the Games, "-- is that still a possibility?"

"Oh, yes," Anakin said. "I meant to call everyone that Katniss had told me about the day before the...event...began."

He was definitely so anxious that he was making up reasons to check up on this Katniss situation, yes.

"Well... thank you."

Anakin gestured to the chair across from his desk. "Sit down if you'd like. It can't have been an easy week for you."
