Skywalker Apartment [Saturday morning]

Anakin woke up with the sun and looked over at Rory--who was a lot bigger than he remembered--and decided that he should be a very good boy and make breakfast.

It was clearly the best plan ever!

So he bounced out of bed (Literally. Sorry about that, Rory) and into the kitchen where he proceeded to get out every carton, can, and box he could reach in a futile search for the Pop Tarts, then sat on the floor with a screwdriver to take the coffee machine apart and get it to make hot chocolate too.

[OOC: For the wife!]

It took Rory a little while to get out of bed, and when she found Anakin missing, she immediately went to get Juliet.

So it was a sleepy Rory with a sleepier Juliet in her arms who found Anakin -- in little boy form -- ruining her coffeemaker.

Rory just sighed. "Good morning, Anakin."

"Play?" Juliet asked curiously, straining in Rory's arms to grab the screwdriver.

"You're probably not, actually," Rory said, because she knew she wasn't going to get coffee today and that made her sad.

"I help!" Juliet cried, wiggling to get down. Rory held tight, since she didn't want them playing together until she had control over their actual toys.

"I heeeelp," Juliet whined, until Rory put her down. "Find a job for Juliet, okay? She does not get to play with anything sharp. I'll...see about breakfast, and then I better be able to make coffee, okay?"

Rory really, really missed Anakin being his normal age right then, though this was probably payback for the fact that she hadn't had to deal with all that nonsense last week. "That is a wonderful help."

Juliet, for her part, carefully piled the cans on top of each other, then took the spoon and banged on it, yelling along happily. She was helping!

"She thinks she's being helpful," Rory added, as Juliet wailed the ABC song with...a few letters missing. "Juliet, sweetie, remember what comes after H?"

"J!"

"No, honey, it's I -- "

"J LIKE JU-EET!"

"Okay."

"You keep teaching her," Rory decided, rubbing her temple as she found some Cheerios. "Rory needs her coffee, though. Soon."

"Mommy?" Juliet yelled. "Song!"

And then there was more banging.

"Helped," Juliet reassured her mother, who wandered over with two little bowls of cereal.

"Thank you, Anakin. And Juliet," Rory said, totally fine with them eating on the floor today. Who cares.

"YIPPEEEEEEEEEE!" Juliet agreed. "I Ju-eet," she added to Anakin, because she was not quite sure who her new friend was. Or where her daddy had gone to, but that was irrelevant, obviously.

"Annie," she repeated, then turned to her mother. "Mommy! Annie," she said, pointing. Perhaps Mommy had not noticed her new friend. She turned back to Anakin, selecting a piece of cereal to put in her mouth, and added, "Mommy sleepy."

"Mommy needs her coffee, Juliet. And then maybe we can go outside or something."

"OUTSIDE NOW!"

"...after breakfast."

"You are," Rory said, gratefully going to take the coffee maker so she could actually use it. "Eat your cereal, guys, and then maybe we can go to the park."

"Parp!" Juliet squealed.

"Park," Rory corrected.

"Parpparpparpparpparpparpparpparp," Juliet chanted to herself as she munched on her cereal.
